7 Famous Actors Who Rejected The Roles In Baahubali

 

Bahubali is the movie that hit every person’s emotions and made them think wonder “Why did Kattapa kill Bahubali.” This movie had become so popular that it became a wedding style in Kerala. This is the first Indian movie to enter the Rs 1000 Cr club. The actors who were initially approached for the cast may have regretted their decision after seeing the popularity of the movie. There were various predictions of the question why did Kattapa kill Bahubali and the catch of the movie was revealed in the latter part that was released afterwards as Bahubali- The Conclusion.

Below is the list of actors who rejected the movie initially due to various reasons and now regret their decision are mentioned below:

1. Hrithik Roshan- Baahubali

Hritik Roshan was offered the lead role of the movie as it was initially planned to release the movie only in Bollywood. Rajamouli the director doesn’t reveal the full story of the movie which he directs before the actors commits and also want the actor to ensure that when they are doing his movie they should not make any other commitments. As Rajamouli didn’t reveal the full story so Hrithik rejected the movie and went ahead with Mohenjo-Daro.

2. John Abraham- Bhallaladev

Watching John Abraham in villain role could have been fun. John was first choice of Rajamouli far the role of Bhallaladev and hence he had sent the script to him. After waiting for several days and seeing no response he gave the role to Rana Daggubati other best option available with him.

3. Mohanlal- Kattapa

There were rumours that the face of Malyalam film industry Mohanlal was also offered a role in the movie as the role of Kattapa. Mohanlal didn’t have dates to work in bulk and hence due to the fact that Mohanlal was unavailable, the role was given to Sathyaraja.

4. Vivek Oberoi- Bhalladev

The king of negative character Vivek Oberoi was also offered the role of Bhalladev. But at that time the actor had a lot of previous commitments and hence he rejected the movie.

5. Sonam Kapoor- Avantika

Since initially the movie was to be released only in Bollywood Sonam Kapoor was approached for the role of Avantika. But the director demanded full time for the movie for a span of 2 tears and hence Sonam rejected the movie.

6. Sridevi- Shivgami Devi

When Sridevi was approached by Rajamouli for the role of Rajmata Sivagami Devi she a hefty amount followed by several other demands including booking an entire floor in a five-star hotel and business class tickets from Mumbai to Hyderabad. And when Rajamouli couldn’t keep up with the demands Sri Devi rejected the movie.

7. Nayantara- Devsena

The South Indian beauty was also approached for the role of Devsena however she rejected the movie because of her prior commitments and hence the role was taken by Anushkha Shetty.
