You should be more courteous, and more submissive, stop staying up late, be more feminine, sit up straight, get married, and have a family, among other things. If you come from a conservative home, chances are good that you have heard such statements if you are a woman. Everyone keeps attempting to impose what they think is best for us women, but what authority do they have to examine and guide our decisions?

Regardless of which woman you are, our culture has oppressed us all in some way. If not directly, then certainly indirectly, we have all been asked to submit. However, every woman has the same right to live a free life as a male.
