This is not hidden from us that most of the celebrities prefer to do social work in presence of paparazzi, but this down to earth person Mr. Patekar actually had donated money to the widows of farmers who committed suicide in Maharashtra. He is busy doing social works since long time, indeed he did not even speak about it. The veteran actor is helping farmers for their development. Nana Patekar is financially using the NGO that he co-runs.

2. Mahesh Babu
The Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu is known for the super hit film “Srimanthudu”, in which Mahesh Babu essayed the role of a rich business tycoon who adopted a village for the betterment of the citizens. Similar to his character in the movie, Mahesh Babu now in his real life has adopted his paternal village. Burripalem in Guntur district of of Andhra Pradesh, which is his father Krishna Gatamaneni’s native.

3. Siddharth Suryanarayan

4. Preity Zinta
The B-Town starlet and co-owner of Kings XI Punjab Preity Zinta was making headlines in the month of April after she helped drought-affected village in Nashik. Preity funded for the digging of a new well in the village alongside she provided water to the villagers. The superstar also donated foods to the poor people.

5. Akshay Kumar
One of the best versatile actors of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar proved himself better than the best with the choices of his movies he did. Coming to the point of his social work, you will be amazed to know that the actor has opened free martial arts classes for women. Indeed the need of the hour, this is true that women are actually facing atrocities on their way so it is Mr. Kumar’s effort to make the women self-independent with the martial art training. He also helped farmers family financially who committed suicide in the deadly drought of Marathwada, of Maharashtra.
Interestingly, the stylish lad of the tinsel town Akshay Kumar also helps the distressed people of the state, when he donated Rs 90 lakhs to the 180 farmer’s families who ended their lives.
6. Salman Khan
The Bhai of Bollwyood has been involved in many charities including his famous NGO Being Human which sells merchandise online and in stores. A portion of the sales goes to a worthy cause supporting the underprivileged people. Being Human Foundation is a registered charitable trust set up by Salman Khan with a single mission to help the underprivileged kids.

7. Shabana Azmi
The gifted actress is closely associated with social causes mainly she worked for the welfare and upliftment of children and women’s rights apart from fighting the stigma and injustice associated with AIDS. The veteran actress associated with the Mijwan Welfare Society (MWS), an NGO founded by her father, the famous poet, late Kaifi Azmi. After his demise, she decided to take forward the charitable institute.
Shabana has reportedly run many charitable institutes – Kaifi Azmi High School for girls, Kaifi Azmi Inter College for girls, Kaifi Azmi Computer Training Center and Kaifi Azmi Sewing and Tailoring Center.
8. Aamir Khan
