4. Manthan – 1976

The partition of India in 1947 is still a heated topic. The people of these two countries have a severe hatred for each other and the movie ‘Hey Raam’ is based on the same. 8. Taare Zameen Par – 2007

This movie from 2007 is a masterpiece. The movie was titled Like Stars on the Earth, for its international release. The movie is created and directed by Aamir Kham, who also stars in the movie as a teacher to a dyslexic kid, Ishaan. The movie revolves around the teacher and the kid. The teacher motivates the kid to chase his dreams, where the rest of the world de-motivated and discourages him. The movie ends with a heartfelt note and thus was nominated in the 81st Oscar Ceremony.
