Media is a merciless place. Unfortunately though, it is becoming a breeding ground for many masked online perpetrators who hide behind pseudo names and like to troll people with authority. It provides them a sense of being powerful when they spew hate on online platforms without being recognised. With the boom in digital technology, cyber bullying has seen a new low. Bollywood celebrities especially actresses are subjected to unsolicited comments and hate, mostly for their clothes and personal choices.
Time and again, these divas have publicly named and shamed their bullies on social media. And now it seems like they have developed certain immunity against them, after being subjected to trolls on a regular basis. In this blog, we have collated a list of Indian women (read, celebrities) who were trolled on social media for their clothes. And we would like to mention, we totally condemn such type of vile behaviour on social media and we stand strong by our ladies who shut their trolls down like a boss.

The Indian woman skipper was once trolled by pseudo-protectors of culture online for wearing a black tank top. Duh? The pea-sized brains even asked Mithali to put the picture down.
2. Priyanka Chopra
Not the first time though, Priyanka Chopra was recently trolled for wearing a plunge neck gown to an international award ceremony. However, the diva paid zero to none attention to the belittlers.
3. Ankita Lokhande
The Pavitra Rishta actress was shamed on social media for wearing ‘western dresses’ as the people couldn’t get the Adarsh Bahu image of her out of their mind. For the uninitiated, Ankita Lokhande played the role of a coy Indian woman in a daily soap Pavitra Rishta.
4. Safa Baig
Always wondered how a nail polish can hurt an entire religion! In case of Irfan Pathan’s wife Safa Baig, she was trolled for wearing bright nail paint on her hands. It was apparently deemed un-Islamic as per religious imposters on social media.
5. Aneri Vajani
The actress who went famous with Jennifer Winget starrer Beyhadh was trolled for being too skinny and above all, wearing a bikini in her social media post. According to the self-proclaimed social media fitness experts, she needed to see a doctor ASAP. But the bold lady that Aneri Vajani is, she didn’t remove her picture and told them straightaway that she will wear whatever she wishes to wear.

The Dangal Girl has been subjected to social media trolls for more than once. She has always been under scanner for her sartorial choices by the religious preachers. She was once trolled by small-minded people for wearing western attire during Ramzan.
7. Sonarika Bhadoria
Sonarika Bhadoria rose to fame for playing Indian Goddess Parvati in a TV show. Post her exit, she posted a picture of herself in bikini on social media. This irked her fans who always pictured her as a pious god lady.

8. Nia Sharma
The third sexiest Asian woman was slut shamed on social media for her bold pictures on social media. But the bold lady poster another picture in the similar dress and gave it back to her trolls.
