Sunny Leone, a former adult star who now works in Bollywood, turned a lot of eyebrows when she quit the porn industry more than a decade ago to pursue a career in the Indian film industry.

Sunny first appeared as a participant on the super-popular and contentious reality programme Big Boss in 2011. It was only the beginning for her in India, and she has definitely not looked back since.

Sunny has left her imprint practically wherever she goes, whether it’s in films, television series, or memorable music videos. Sunny will star in a number of films in the industry after making her Bollywood debut in Pooja Bhatt’s sensual thriller Jism 2, which was a sequel to the superhit John Abraham film Jism.

Jackpot (2013), Ragini MMS 2 (2014), Ek Paheli Leela (2015), and Tera Intezaar are just a few of her credits (2017). While she has certainly had success in her second profession, it has not been without its challenges.

As you may know, Bollywood is a difficult fruit to digest, and Sunny has had a good proportion of setbacks

One of the things the actress expressed was that she believed many celebrity wives were unhappy with their husbands’ collaboration with her.

Sunny discussed it in depth during one of her interviews in 2015, revealing that she had a sense of uneasiness. While speaking to Hindustan Times, she said,

“Most of the actors I work with are married, and when I meet their wives, I usually get along with them more than the boys. But still, I do believe that there is some insecurity for sure. I just feel like telling them, I don’t want your husband or boyfriend. I have the most amazing husband in the world.”

Sunny is blissfully married to Daniel Weber

She recently confessed in another interview that she sometimes thinks like informing the Bollywood wives how happy she is with her own spouse. Sunny, in an interview with Filmibeat, remarked,

“I was told that a lot of male actors in Bollywood are scared to work with me because they have a wife or this and that. And I want to tell their wives, ‘I don’t want your husband. I have one. I love him. He’s hot, he’s sexy. He fulfils all my needs in every way, emotionally, and everything. I don’t want your husband.’ I want to do my job and I want to go home with my husband, not yours.”

Sunny is now working on Rangeela, her Malayalam film debut, helmed by filmmaker Santhosh Nair, after making her OTT debut with Anamika.

On March 10, MX Player released Anamika, an espionage thriller series. Sonnalli Seygall, Rahul Dev, Samir Soni, Shehzad Shaikh, and Ayaz Khan star in the film, which is directed by Vikram Bhatt. Sunny appears in Anamika as a renegade secret agent M.

Sunny and Vikram work together for the first time on the programme, which went into production in 2020. After the series Bullets, which was released last year, Anamika is Sunny’s second cooperation with MX Player. Anamika is being dubbed in several languages, including Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

She will also star in Vadivudaiyan’s Tamil film Veeramadevi, which is a historical drama written and directed by him.
