Kangana Ranaut has been recognised in the industry as one of India’s highest-paid actresses for her versatility and depiction of powerful women in female-centric films. She has won several prizes, including four National Film Awards and five Filmfare Awards, and has been on Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list six times. The Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honour, was bestowed on her by the government in 2020.

Kangana Ranaut has been praised for her strong performances and for building a name for herself despite her humble beginnings. However, she has become increasingly well-known in recent years as a result of her outspoken views.

She has spoken out against nepotism in the entertainment industry, particularly following the murder of Sushant Singh Rajput, when she accused powerful film industry figures of “systematically sabotaging” his career.

Ranaut is an admirer of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and aligns with right-wing views. Ranaut is a frequent commentator on social media platforms such as Twitter, where she promotes her political opinions, discusses her religious identity and activities, and criticises liberals. Ranaut’s blunt attitude and aggressive demeanour have drawn media attention, as seen by many well-publicized public disputes with colleagues over her political beliefs.

The vocal Bollywood actress has been involved in several Twitter heated arguments, making surprising charges and remarks, raising her voice, and voicing her thoughts on issues and themes she feels she should address.

Kangana Ranaut, from Karan Johar to Hrithik Roshan, never fails to lure them into arguments, even when they aren’t actively participating. So, without further hemming and hawing, here are some recent examples of Kangana hitting Bollywood celebrities the wrong way.

1. Urmila Matondkar

Kangana Ranaut recently referred to Urmila Matondkar as a “soft porn star.” Not only that, but Kangana had her sights set on Urmila again after hearing that the actress had purchased an office for Rs 3 crore only weeks after joining the Shiv Sena. She further claimed Urmila should have delighted Congress rather than the BJP.

Answering Navika Kumar’s question on the claim that Ranaut was creating controversy to get a political ticket into the BJP, she replied,

“One doesn’t have to be a genius to figure it’s not very difficult to get a ticket… Even Urmila Matondkar, she is a soft porn star. I know it’s very blatant… But she’s not known for her acting for sure. What is she known for? For doing soft porns right? If she can get a ticket, why won’t I get a ticket?”

2. Hrithik Roshan

Kangana Ranaut poked fun at Hrithik Roshan at the Lock Upp launch, stating,

“6 ungliyon wale ka bhi gala sukh raha hai.”

3. Alia Bhatt

Following the success of The Kashmir Files at the box office, Kangana took a go at Alia Bhatt and her film Gangubai Kathiwadi, stating,

“The Kashmir Files is the first successful and profitable Hindi film in theatres post-pandemic. I m telling you all this because the movie mafia their chaatikaar and their bikaau media won’t tell you. No one from the industry will applaud or appreciate it so I am doing my bit.”

4. Taapsee Pannu

Kangana had backed a derogatory description of Taapsee Pannu, calling her a “Sasti Copy” of an Indian actress, “renowned for befitting replies,” and “a member of Pappu Gang.” Kangana retweeted the post, writing,

“Ha ha ha She-man will be very happy today.”

5. Karan Johar

As Ekta Kapoor’s reality programme Lock Upp recently surpassed 200 million views, Kangana Ranaut drew Karan into the fray by implying that the filmmaker would now cry and hide. She penned,

“Sari changu mangu sena/media of cruella /papajo along with him, going to cry chup chup ke… itne papad belne ke baad bhi dekho 200M aur abhi aage aage dekho hota hua kya, tere rone ke din as gaye papa jo.”
