In a remarkable spectacle that unfolded at the renowned New York Times Square, an immense gathering congregated to joyously commemorate the inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. About Ram Mandir
The temple, crafted in the traditional Nagara style by Chandrakant Sompura and son Ashish, stands at 380 feet long, 250 feet wide, and 161 feet tall. Spanning 70 acres, the complex has a main temple area of 2.7 acres and a built-up space of around 57,000 square feet. Valued at Rs 1,800 crore, the entire structure is funded by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which has received donations exceeding Rs 3,500 crore from India and abroad.
About Ram Lalla
The idol of Ram Lalla, meticulously carved by the acclaimed sculptor Arun Yogiraj from Karnataka, received its consecration in the temple during today's auspicious ceremony. The installation of this revered idol took place within the sacred sanctum sanctorum on January 18, in accordance with the prescribed rituals. The 51-inch idol, distinguished by its black color, portrays Lord Ram at the tender age of five. Notably, the current idol of Ram Lalla, a cherished object of worship for the past seven decades, will also find its revered place within the sanctum sanctorum of the new temple, symbolizing continuity and the enduring spiritual legacy.
