1. Meena Kumari
Meena Kumari died back in 1972 at the age of 38. Later on, that year her last movie, ‘Gomti Ke Kinare’ was released posthumously.
2. Divya Bharti
Divya Bharti reached the peak of her career in a short span of time. Her movies Rang and Shatranj were released posthumously.
3. Yash Chopra
The last movie of Yash Chopra was “Jab Tak Hai Jaan”. The movie was released posthumously.
4. Smita Patil
Smita Patil was a popular name in Bollywood. She died back in 1986 but her legacy lived on. Her 10 movies including Waaris and Sutradhar were released after her death.
5. Sanjeev Kumar
Sanjeev Kumar was a noted Bollywood actor who has won many awards for his performances. He died in 1985, at the age of 47. More than 10 of his movies were released posthumously.
6. Rajesh Khanna
Rajesh Khanna has delivered some of the greatest performances in Bollywood. Unfortunately, he died before the release of his last films “Riyasat” and ‘Jaanleva Black Hood’. Riyasat was released after two years of his death. On the other hand, Jaanleva is still unreleased.
7. Farooq Sheikh
Farooq Sheikh died in 2013 and in the following year two of his movies Youngistaan and Children of War were released.
8. Amjad Khan
Amjad Khan is best known for playing the most diabolic villain (Gabbar) of all time. He was passed away in 1992. During his last days, he was working on several projects and the movies were released after his death. Furthermore, two of his movies were not released.
9. Amrish Puri
Amrish Puri passed away in 2005, just a few days before the release of his movie “Kisna”. In the next year, the movie, ‘Kachchi Sadak’ was released.
10. Balraj Sahni
Balraj Sahni died of cardiac arrest back in 1973. A few of his movies including, Hindustan Ki Kasam, Hanste Zakhm, Amaanat and Garam Hawa were released posthumously.
11. Madhubala
Madhubala had a ventricular septal defect. It was detected back in 1954 when she was shooting for a film. Her health got worse in 1960 and after being confined to bed for nine years, she died in 1969. Her last movie, Jwala was released in 1971.
12. Shammi Kapoor
Shammi Kapoor’s last movie was “Rockstar”. He passed away a few months before the release of the movie.
