1. Vicky Kaushal
The actor who made big with Masaan, graduated from Mumbai’s Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology in 2009 with a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications. When he felt that his calling doesn’t lie in engineering, he moved to Bollywood.
2. Kriti Sanon
Kriti Sanon was born in Delhi and spent majority of her life there. She got graduated in Bachelor of Technology from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida. After completing her graduation, she moved to Mumbai to realise her Bollywood dreams.
3. Kartik Aaryan
The Pyaar Ka Punchnama guy came to Mumbai to pursue engineering degree in biotechnology from D.Y. Patil College of Engineering. While doing his graduation, he also kept trying to get a break in movies. Luckily, he got his break with Luv Ranjan’s Pyaar ka Punchnama.
4. Sushant Singh Rajput
The actor was not only phenomenal in acting but was also a prodigy. He was able to write with his both hands, he loved stars, he purchased a land on moon and he was also training to become a pilot. Sushant got 7th rank in AIEEE exam and was graduating from Delhi Technical University but left it in between to act in movies.
5. Taapsee Pannu
Taapsee Pannu completed Computer Science Engineering from Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology in New Delhi. She even got a job as a software engineer but soon she realised that her interest lies in acting. Before making big in movies, Taapsee did some modelling assignments. Currently, she is enjoying being one of the most acclaimed actresses in Bollywood. She was last seen in Anubhav Sinha’s Thappad.
6. R. Madhavan
The chocolate boy of Bollywood, R. Madhavan is an engineer just like his role in 3 Idiots. He completed his engineering from Rajaram College in Kolhapur and then moved to Bollywood. He even has a degree in Public Speaking from Kishinchand Chellaram College in Maharashtra.
7. Sonu Sood
The actor who is being currently hailed as a Messiah of migrants, is also an engineering degree. He completed his engineering from Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering in Nagpur. He did many modelling assignments before coming to Bollywood.
8. Ameesha Patel
Ameesha Patel was studying Biogenetic Engineering in Tufts University, Massachusetts, USA. She was a gold medalist in Economics. Reports were rife that she turned down a lucrative offer from Morgan Stanley to act in films. Patel made her debut with Hrithik Roshan in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai.
9. Jitendra Kumar
Jitendra Kumar is famous for his work in web series. The actor graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from IIT Kharagpur. He also made his big entry into Bollywood in Ayushmann Khurrana flick Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.
10. Riteish Deshmukh
Riteish Deshmukh has a degree in Architectural Engineering from Kamla Raheja College of Architecture in Mumbai.
11. Amol Parashar
Amol Parashar is an IIT-Delhi graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is popular for his role in Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year.
12. Kader Khan
Kader Khan had a degree in Civil Engineering before making big in Bollywood. He even taught the subject professionally before his debut. He was spotted by Dilip Kumar who offered him a role in a film.
13. Nagarjuna
Nagarjuna is a graduate from Eastern Michigan University in Automobile Engineering. However, soon after his graduation, he started receiving offers to act in films. He entered the industry without taking up any job as an engineer.
