Kajol was said to be the first choice of director Rajkumar Hirani to play the role of Priya in the movie 3 Idiots but Kajol passed on the role thinking she will not have much to add to the film. The role was then passed on to Kareena Kapoor.

The superhit romantic flick which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji in lead roles was initially offered Kajol. There is no reason yet revealed as to why Kajol decided to reject this role.

Shakti The Power

The role of a dedicated mother in Shakti was offered to Kajol but the rumour mill was abuzz that Ajay Devgn did not approve of Kajol working again with SRK so she rejected it.

Dil Toh Pagal Hai

Kajol was approached by Yash Chopra for the role of Karishma Kapoor in the movie Dil Toh Pagal Hai but it is said that the actress did not like the role and hence turned it down. But Karisma had later won the National Award for her role.

Mohabbatein

Yes Kajol also passed on a role in the superhit movie Mohabbatein which starred Shah Rukh Khan in a lead role.

Veer Zaara

Kajol was also offered the role of Preity Zinta in the movie Veer Zaara which was opposite Shah Rukh Khan. But she decided to turn it down for unknown reasons.

The Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Khamoshi: The Musical was offered to Kajol before it went to Manisha Koirala.

Well it has been established that most films rjecetd by Kajol are Shah Rukh Khan starrers. Yes Kajol turned down a rare gem like Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna as well.
