There have been Bollywood actors who have been working in the industry for quite some time now and still fail to build a fan following or establish themselves as successful artists or actors.

1. Hrithik Roshan:
‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’ in the year 2000 managed to rack up 80 crores which are pretty impressive considering it was one of the initial projects of his career. And when the film finally hit the theatres, rumour has it that he received 30,000 proposals for marriage. Now that is an insane amount of proposals! He won over many hearts with his extremely good looks and even bagged many awards for the movie.
2. Ajay Devgn:
‘Phool Aur Kaante’ was a complete blockbuster when it hit the theatres. Ajay’s entry on the two motorcycles is one of the most highlighted debut scenes of all time. The image is still fresh in the minds of his fans and this uniqueness is what has kept him going all these years as well. His entry into the Bollywood scene was a much-awaited one, his image as a tall, dark, handsome hunk was widely appreciated.
3. Rahul Roy:
The first instalment of the ‘Aashiqui’ series introduced Bollywood’s boy next door, Rahul Roy to the audience. The 1990 romance classic is what it is today due to its soundtracks in the movie, especially Nadeem Shravan’s remarkable soundtrack. The success of the second instalment of the series can also speak for itself.
4. Sanjay Dutt:
Over the years Sanjay Dutt has earned quite a reputation for himself and has been centred around a lot of controversies. But Bollywood’s bad guy had a very successful debut with his movie ‘Rocky’. The audience fell in love with his bad-boy image and the songs in the movie went on to become chartbusters as well.
5. Rishi Kapoor:
Rishi and Dimple Kapadia made their Bollywood debut in 1973 with the romance musical Bobby. Their chemistry in the movie was extremely well received and the film did very well and smashed the box office records at the time of its release. The movie is still remembered as one of Bollywood’s gold and nostalgic films by many.

6. Bobby Deol:
Bobby Deol and Twinkle Khanna stepped into the world of acting with their debut movie, ‘Barsaat’ in 1996 by Rajkumar Santoshi. The movie is a romantic musical and was extremely successful at the box office as well. The film was declared a super hit grosser and went on to become the 5th highest-grossing movie of the year.
7. Kumar Gaurav:
Kumar Gaurav was launched into the world of stardom overnight after the release of his movie, ‘Love Story’. The movie achieved all-time blockbuster status and did exceptionally well at the box office as well. The film won two Filmfare awards and has a rating of 4.5/5 in rotten tomatoes. The film to say the least is one of the romance classics if not the best.
8. Ranveer Singh:
Ranveer is now happily married to Bollywood’s ‘it’ girl Deepika Padukone. But this breath of fresh air made his debut with ‘Band Baaja Baarat’ in 2010 and the audience just fell in love with his quirkiness. The film was a commercial success and was one of the most successful films of the year and bagged many awards as well.
9. Imran Khan:
Imran reportedly has the most successful debut since Hrithik in the year 2000 for his movie, ‘Jane Tu Ya Jane Na’. The movie was a big commercial success and was widely appreciated by the audience. The soundtracks of the movie were worked on by A.R Rahman and won many awards for his compositions.
10. Shahid Kapoor:
The 2003 romance movie, ‘Ishq Vishk ‘ was Shahid Kapoor’s debut film. The chocolate boy had a very successful launch and the movie was well-received by the audience. His chemistry with Amrita Rao was just the icing on the cake. Along with his undeniable good looks and air of innocence around him, the film also showcased his dancing skills.
