Anurag Kashyap is someone who speaks anything and everything that he wants without any hesitation. Recently, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, the Dobaaraa filmmaker and Taapsee Pannu were discussing about Ranveer Singh’s nude photoshoot and the anchor said that Anurag should also pose nude, Taapsee stated that it will be a horror show. When the anchor said Taapsee has complex with Anurag, the filmmaker joked, “Yeh darti hai because I have bigger boobs than her.”

Recently, in an interview with Galatta Plus, Anurag spoke about why YRF films have not done well at the box office. He stated that Aditya Chopra should empower people who work for him and not dictate them. He said, “You have one person sitting in a cave, who doesn’t know the world outside, dictating how everybody should be making their films and telling them what to do.”
Anurag Kashyap wants #BoycottDobaaraa trend
Anurag Kashyap and Taapsee Pannu are currently promoting their film Dobaaraa which is slated to release on 19th August. In an interview with India Today, Taapsee had said that she wants to be in same league as Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan and wants her film to be also be in the boycott trend. Anurag agreed with her and said, “Yes please, I want our film to trend on the boycott hashtag as well.”
Anurag Kashyap on Bollywood films’ failure
Talking about why Bollywood films have been failing at the box office, Anurag said “Because our Hindi films are not rooted, this is the simple answer. When you see Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam films, they’re rooted in their culture, whether that’s mainstream or non-mainstream culture. But our films are not rooted.” He also said that people who speak English are making Hindi films.
Anurag Kashyap on South films
There has been a debate that South films are doing well, but Bollywood films are not performing well at the box office. Recently, in an interview with Bollywood Now, Anurag stated that South films are also not working. He said a few film worked in South and not many would know the names of Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films that released in the past few weeks because films are not working there as well.
