Boycott Bollywood trends: Laal Singh Chaddha, Pathaan, Liger, Raksha Bandhan and more

Of late there has been a trend of Bollywood films facing a boycott from netizens. The whole cancel culture has been growing and it has become difficult for movie stars and celebrities to promote their films. Just recently, Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer movie Laal Singh Chaddha alongside Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Raksha Bandhan faced a Boycott trend on social media. Both the films were clashing at the box office and have had a disastrous fate at the ticket windows too. Even Ranbir Kapoor's Shamshera faced a boycott. Moreover, Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, Hrithik Roshan's Vikram Vedha and more films have been called for a boycott too. The boycott trend is just growing as the days pass. It's a scary situation for the movie makers and even the celebrities. A lot of Sushant Singh Rajput fans have also been actively involved in the Boycott trend. Akshay Kumar's Raksha Bandhan faced the Boycott trend. The actor who makes multiple films in a year was asked about his thoughts on the ongoing boycott trend. Akshay Kumar said that he hopes that people soon realise that it is hurting the ecomony. Akshay said that it affect every industry. He requested them to not do such mischief as it's hurting the whole country's economy.

Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha faced a lot of flak on social media. Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha was the biggest trend for the long time. Earlier Aamir had reacted to the same saying that a lot of people who have been calling for boycott believe that he is an anti-national or he dislikes India. He said that it was all untrue. Later, when he was asked about the boycott trend again, Aamir said that he cannot help it, however, he would like Laal Singh Chaddha to reach the wider audience.

Kareena Kapoor Khan got criticisms for the boycott a lot. When Laal Singh Chaddha was boycotted, the actress was asked about her thoughts. She shared that she would not want the masses to boycott such a beautiful film. Kareena said that the boycott trend is only because of certain section of the audience. She also added that loads of people have worked on the film for about three years. Bebo said that Boycotting Laal Singh Chaddha would be like boycotting good cinema. Earlier, when the nepotism debate had taken everything by a storm Kareena's comment about nobody forcing the people to watch the movie had been a trend. People brought back the video and brutally trolled her for the same.

Darlings actor Vijay Varma also reacted to the Boycott trend. He called it sacry situation and said that the whole trend had gone overboard now. The actor said that people might now find certain things which have been said years ago objectionable and it might have raised eyebrows back then. But such things cannot prevail in today's times.

Vijay Deverakonda also reacted to the Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha trend. The Liger actor said that on a film's set there are not just actors, directors but a lot more people working on a film. A single film, he said provides for thousands of families. He called Aamir a crowd puller and said that he's the star and if people boycott his film, a lot of families would be affected. Vijay Deverakonda said that it's much bigger picture than it looks on social media. Sadly, after his comment, Vijay's film Liger was also called for boycott. Recently, he reacted to the boycott trend again and asked if they all should sit in their homes and stop making movies. Vijay said that they all are making movies for the audience and they need those audience.

Mona Singh, who plays Aamir Khan's mother in Laal Singh Chaddha also reacted to the Boycott trend. She said that she feels very sad about the ongoing cancel culture. She asked what has Aamir Khan done to deserve all that and said that the actor has been entertaining the masses for 30 years now.

Suniel said that Aamir only works on one film a year to entertain them and can do multiple films if he wants to just earn money. He hoped that better sense prevailed the masses as a lot of people's livelihood are based on the films.
