Vijay Deverkonda and Ananya Panday's Liger fails to meet audiences' expectations

The movie Liger made it to the theatres on August 25. Sadly, the film starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday opened to extremely bad reviews. Though Vijay believed that Liger is a mass entertainer, it appears that audiences thought of it otherwise. It was expected Liger will do wonders at the box office since there was so much buzz around it but unfortunately, in the Hindi belt, Liger did not perform well on its first two days. On its second day, reportedly, the film made just Rs 2 crore. If the numbers do not pick up, Liger could be among the biggest flops of this year. Check the list.

Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha

Aamir Khan's movie Laal Singh Chaddha was a much-anticipated one. The film that is an official adaptation of Forrest Gump was in the making for more than 2 years. Sadly, due to the negative trends on social media, Laal Singh Chaddha suffered very badly at the box office. The film struggled to even reach Rs 50 crore mark. But internationally, the film has supposedly done well.

Shamshera

It was after a long time that Ranbir Kapoor returned to the big screen with Shamshera. A big-budget movie with high expectations. But it performed poorly at the box office. The film merely managed to Rs 63 crore business at the box office. One of the biggest flops of the year, indeed!

Radhe Shyam

Prabhas and Pooja Hegde's film Radhe Shyam made a lot of noise during its release. The fans of the Baahubali star were waiting for this one to hit the screens. It was among the first few films that released in the post-Covid era but sadly, the box office numbers of the film did not match up to the hype.

Akshay Kumar's movie that marked Manushi Chillar's entry into Bollywood Samrat Prithviraj was a box office fail. The film that was reportedly made on a budget of Rs 300 crore struggled to keep strong at the box office. It's gross collection is said to be around Rs 75-80 crore. The year 2022 has not been great for Akshay Kumar. His film Raksha Bandhan too suffered at the box office.
