Ashwin Gangaraju, who has worked as an assistant director with SS Rajamouli, is all set to direct a period film titled 1770. The movie will be based on Bankim Chandra Chatterjee's novel Anandamath. KV Vijayendra Prasad, who has written movies like Baahuabli franchise and RRR, is writing the adapted story and screenplay of the movie. We now wait to know which actor will be cast in 1770.

R Madhavan in Jai Hind

A biopic on freedom fighter Dr Chempakaraman Pillai is on the cards, and there were reports that Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, and Shahid Kapoor are being considered for the role. But, producer Riju Bajaj in an interview with Cinestaan confirmed that R Madhavan will be seen in their film which is titled Jai Hind.
