Karthikeya 2 holds strong in Hindi Belt
The box office game has become quite interesting in post-Covid era. The films that fans expected to do wonders at the box office are failing whereas the lesser hyped films are performing well. One such film is Karthikeya 2 starring Nikhil Siddhartha. Even in its third weekend, Karthikeya 2 is doing strong at the box office. On its third Saturday, the Hindi version of Karthikeya 2 made approximately Rs 1.50 to Rs 1.75 crore at the box office. This despite the competition from Vijay Deverakond and Ananya Panday's Liger.
Karthikeya 2 witnesses more than 100 percent jump
Surprising or not, Karthikeya 2 reportedly made more than double what it made on the third Friday. The film earned Rs 75 lakh on the third Friday whereas on the third Saturday it made almost Rs 1.50 to Rs 1.75 crore. That's huge!
Liger Hindi fails to take a jump
Though there was a tremendous buzz for Liger, Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday's film is finding it really difficult to stay strong at the box office. The Hindi version of the film witnessed a slight drop on its first Monday. As per Box Office India, the film made Rs 4.25 crore at the box office.
Liger suffers terribly at Telugu box office
Post the release of the film, it was reported that Liger crashed miserably at the Telugu box office. It witnessed an almost 77 percent of drop in Telugu states. Even the worldwide collections of the film have reportedly dropped.
Karthikeya 2's worldwide collection
Meanwhile, Nikhil Siddhartha's film Karthikeya 2 has crossed Rs 100 crore mark in its worldwide collections, The positive word of mouth has just helped the film achieve great numbers.
