Aamir Khan to pay back for Laal Singh Chaddha loss?
Aamir Khan's latest release Laal Singh Chaddha has failed miserably at the box office. The film that was in the making for almost 2 and a half years did not manage to do wonders at the box office as expected. Now, a report in Bollywood Hungama suggests that Aamir Khan is planning to compensate the distributors who have incurred losses because of the film. Since he is the co-producer of the film, a plan is reportedly being worked out to partially compensate the distributors. On that note, here's looking at others stars who did the same.
Tubelight
As per reports, Salman Khan refunded Rs 32.5 Crore to the distributors who suffered a loss because of his film Tubelight. Though the film was liked by many, it did not make much at the box office.
Dilwale
Reports suggest that Shah Rukh Khan refunded 50 percent of losses to the distributors who had high hopes from Dilwale. The film also starred Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.
Baba
It was Akshay Kumar who had revealed that Rajinikanth refunded the distributors after his film Baba failed to be a hit at the box office.
Acharya
Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi are said to have compensated the distributors after the release of their film Acharya. The film that released after RRR failed to create a buzz.
Jab Harry Met Sejal
Not just Dilwale, it is reported that Shah Rukh Khan even compensated the distributors for the tragic failure of his film Jab Harry Met Sejal. The film starred Anushka Sharma as the female lead.
