As the weekend is around the corner, here’s the list of new shows and movies that are going to be released on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+Hotstar, and other OTTs. Along with the new shows and movies streaming online, we have two movies – Kangana Ranaut’s Dhaakad and Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiya released in the cinema halls. The popular show Panchayat is back with season 2 on Amazon Prime and the superhit movie RRR is going to be streamed on Netflix and Zee5. From Panchayat Season 2 to RRR to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 to Dhaakad, here are new movies and shows to binge-watch on Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+Hotstar, or more this weekend.
1. RRR (Netflix, ZEE5 & BookMyStream | 20th May)
This super-hit period action drama is set in the 1920s. The movie revolves around two legendary revolutionaries away from their homeland and how they begin fighting for their country. Featuring Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, and Shriya Saran, this movie is a must-watch.
2. Acharya (Amazon Prime Video | 20th May)
This Telugu action-drama stars real-life father-son duo Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan. Directed by Koratala Siva, the movie also stars Kajal Aggarwal and Pooja Hegde. Though the movie failed to create magic at the box office, let’s see how it performs on OTT.
3. Panchayat Season 2 (Amazon Prime Video | 18th May)
After the successful Season 1, the popular show Panchayat is back with season 2. The show revolves around an engineering graduate who due to a lack of job options takes up a job as a Panchayat Secretary. Panchayat features Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Biswapati Sarkar, and Chandan Roy.
4. Big Brother Australia (Voot Select | 20th May)
The Australian version of one of the most popular reality shows is here. Get ready for another addictive and thrilling season where there is drama, task, manipulation, and a lot more.
5. Dhaakad – (Cinemas | 20th May)
In Dhaakad, Kangana Ranaut is back in a new avatar of a highly trained and deadly field agent, Avni. In this much-awaited thriller, Avni is assigned the task to find Rudraveer, an international criminal involved in human and arms trafficking. The espionage action thriller is directed by Razneesh Ghai
6. Vampire in the Garden (Netflix | 20th May)
The show revolves around two communities of vampires and humans. In order to live peacefully, humans have constructed a wall of light in a small town. There also lives a young girl Momo who wants to find a way where the two parties can co-exist. Coincidentally, she meets the queen of the vampires who once loved humans. The duo gets on a mission to bring these two communities together.
7. Who Killed Sara Season 3 (Netflix | 18th May)
Returning with its final season, the show revolves around Alex Guzman, who was released from prison after 18 years for the murder of his sister Sara. But, the reality is that he didn’t kill Sara. As soon as he is released from jail, he embarks on the journey to find the truth and get revenge. The final season of the show will shed light on who killed his sister and betrayed him.
8. Escaype Live (Disney+Hotstar | 20th May)
Featuring Siddharth, Jaaved Jaaferi, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Swastika Mukherjee, Plabita Borthakur, this show is about 6 individuals trying to get fame, money, and more through social media. But, things took a turn when the line between virtual and real-life blurs. The series shows us the dark side of social media.
9. Cyber Hell: Exposing An Internet Horror (Netflix | 20th May)
This true-crime documentary revolves around a team, that investigates scary social media scams; sexual violence with hundreds of victims, unaccountable predators, and its effect and consequences.
10. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (In Cinemas)
Annes Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 stars Kartik Aaryan, Tabu and Kiara Advani. With the spirit of Manjulika returning, she makes Advani’s body its host to complete her incomplete mission.
11. A Perfect Pairing (Netflix | 20th May)
Victoria Justice as Lola Alvarez leads the movie. An LA wine company sales executive quits her job to find new opportunities. With an intention to start her own wine venture, she flies to Australia to get her first big shot client. When Vaughn Family Wines denies her offer, she offers to work on their farms to prove her mettle. However, things only become only more difficult. That’s when station manager Max helps her out. He doesn’t just help her professionally but we also see love sparking between the two.
12. 12th Man (Disney+Hotstar | 20th May)
Starring Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph, this suspense thriller is a must-watch. The story revolves around a mysterious event involving 12 people in 24 hours. The Malayalam-language mystery thriller also features Unni Mukundan, Saiju Kurup, and Shivada.
