Aarambh - Devsena Ki Kahani
Aarambh was one of the most expensive shows made by Star Plus. Some of the sequences cost as much as Rs one crore. Even the sets were huge. Karthika Nair and Rajneesh Duggal played the lead roles. But the show flopped badly. Star Plus also reportedly terminated the services of Baahubali writer K Vijayendra Prasad.
Chandrakanta
Kritika Kamra and Gaurav Khanna starred in Chandrakanta that came on &TV. The show flopped badly though it was made on a high budget.
Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai
Surbhi Jyoti and Shoaib Ibrahim's show is memorable for its plot, performances and gorgeous visuals. The portion shot in Rajasthan looked exquisite. But the low TRPs meant that the makers had to trim the budget and ultimately end it a bit sooner than expected.
Prithvi Vallabh
Prithvi Vallabh has also mounted in a huge manner. The show starred Ashish Sharma and Sonarika Bhadoria. But the TRPs were low. It has good ratings on IMDB and is a success online.
Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3
After the success of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Gul Khan made the third season. Due to poor ratings, the budget was reportedly trimmed. The sets got smaller, and downsizing was down in every department.
Porus
Porus was made on a budget of Rs 500 crore. Laksh Lalwani played the title role. They shot extensively in Thailand. But the TRPs of the show were quite low. Porus was liked in other Southeast Asian countries a lot. The show set a landmark for technical finesse on ITV.
