Tragic deaths in TV shows

Indian TV shows are infinite. If an actor or the show altogether manages to strike a chord with the audience, the TV shows go on and on. But if the TV show cannot strike a chord with the audience, it is axed. Sometimes, the makers kill off characters, and lead ones too, to bring more drama and twists to the ongoing storyline. It usually happens when an actor is making an exit or when the makers are altering the storyline to another level. TV characters are thrown off cliffs, murdered and whatnot. From Aryan and Imlie's death from a bomb blast to Fateh and Tejo's death in Udaariyaan due to an accident and more are included in the list.

Tragic deaths in TV shows: Dheeraj Dhoopar aka Karan Luthra in Kundali Bhagya 

Talking about one of the TOP Tv shows, Kundali Bhagya, Dheeraj Dhoopar marked his exit a couple of weeks ago. His character Karan Luthra slipped off the cliff and fell into a river to his death. Karan Luthra is one of the most loved characters on Indian television. The death scene was just too much for fans.

Tragic deaths in TV shows: Sumbul Touqeer aka Imlie and Fahmaan Khan aka Aryan in Imlie 

When the show is taking a generation leap, makers often kill the pre-existing lead characters in the most gruesome ways, we think. At least, that's what happened with Imlie. Malini (Mayuri Deshmukh) planted a bomb and murdered both Aryan and Imlie. Though Malini died along with Arylie why were they killed still remains a mystery for fans. Especially when Sumbul and Fahmaan enjoyed massive popularity as Arylie.

Tragic deaths in TV shows: Ankit Gupta aka Fateh and Priyanka Chahar Choudhary aka Tejo in Udaariyaan 

Recently, even Udaariyaan took a huge generation leap. Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Ankit Gupta and Isha Malviya left the show. Priyanka and Ankit's characters Tejo and Fateh were killed in a car accident. It was heartbreaking for all FaTejo fans who wanted to see them enjoying a happily married life.

Tragic deaths in TV shows: Shabir Ahluwalia aka Abhi and Sriti Jha aka Pragya in Kumkum Bhagya 

Sriti Jha and Shabir Ahluwalia played Pragya and Abhi for about 7 years in Kumkum Bhagya. The two stars quit the show, their characters were shown getting into an accident, slipping into a comatose state and then death. Abhi and Pragya's fans Abhigya shippers were very angry and heartbroken when the two left Kumkum Bhagya.

Tragic deaths in TV shows: Shivangi Joshi aka Naira in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 

In Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata, Shivangi Joshi's character Naira fell off the cliff and died. Kartik (Mohsin Khan) and Naira's fans, Kaira were in a huge shock and also in denial. Shivangi returned but as Sirat. Eventually, both had accidents and died too. Previously, Akshara had an accident and passed away.

Tragic deaths in TV shows: Satyajit Sharma aka Balraj in Yeh Hai Chahatein 

Satyajit Sharma's character in Sargun Kaur Luthra and Abrar Qazi starter Yeh Hai Chahatein had a great arc in the show. However, he was killed, no, murdered, by Preesha's sister, Mahima (Aishwarya Khare). What a way for the exit!

Tragic deaths in TV shows: Anuj Sachdeva aka Chiru in Woh Toh Hai Albelaa 

Last but not the least, Woh Toh Hai Albelaa always had the concept that Chiru (Anuj Sachdeva's character) will be killed off and then Shaheer Sheikh aka Kanha and Hiba NAwab aka Sayuri's story would move forward. Chiru's character was killed in an accident.
