The competion is heating up on celebrity dance reality show, Colors’ Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 10. This weekend the performances will be emotional-driven as Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 will ring in a family special with the theme ‘Mera Parivaar, Best Parivaar’. From celebrating special ones to paying tribute to inspirational figures, the family special weekend episode is all about capturing the unforgettable moments as well as shedding some tears. During the episode, the twelve celebrity contestants will also be seen expressing their hardships they had to brave during the course of their lives.
The heartfelt episode will feature Amruta Khanvilkar performing on ‘Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hain’ which is dedicated to her mother who has been her biggest support. Gashmeer Mahajani will convey the financial struggles he had to face throughout his career and how his mother stood by him, through his performance. Paras Kalnawat, who recently lost his father, will be paying a tribute to him by depicting his relationship with him on stage. In fact, he also goes on to share that it was his father’s dream to be an actor and how he has been pursuing it and will continue to fulfil it.
Nia Sharma opted for an aerial performance which was dedicated to the bond she shares with her brother and about how she has always considered him to be a father figure. After dedicating her dance performance to her husband and actor Abhinav Shukla, Rubina Dilaik was seen getting candid about the challenges she and Abhinav have faced while trying to make their marriage work. Giving his best performance, Ali Asgar opened up on the criticism he received from the audiences for essaying female characters on-screen multiple times. Chef Zorawar Kalra paid an earnest tribute to his co-workers and his friends who have helped him reach the pinnacle in his career.
Giving an emotional performance was Shilpa Shinde who revealed about the trauma she faced due to the lack of support from her family. Niti Taylor and her partner Akash dedicated their performance to Karan Johar as played the grown up versions of the filmmaker’s kids Roohi and Yash. Needless to say their performance moved Karan. The teary-eyed director-producer was seen saying, “I see my kids in you like they have grown up. I have no way of judging this performance because I was only watching my kids.”
Judges too spoke up about their bond and connection with families, giving everyone a glimpse of their personal life. Madhuri Dixit Nene opened up about her life in the USA as a wife and mother, her decision to come back to India and the incredible support she had from her husband. Karan Johar spoke about his mother, who keeps him grounded and supported his decision to be a father.
Colors’ Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10 airs on Saturdays and Sundays at 8pm and it is also available on the streaming platform Voot.
