Ace comedian Raju Srivastava’s demise has left a huge void in the film industry. He rose to fame with his impeccable comic timing and performance in comedy shows like The Great Indian Laughter Challenge and The Great Indian Laughter Challenge – Champion. He struck a chord with the masses with his comic character ‘Gajodhar Bhaiya’. But not many know before that the actor has stepped into the character of a truck cleaner, servant, and college student among others in several hit movies. From Anil Kapoor’s Tezaab to Salman Khan’s Maine Pyar Kiya, he left a mark in every role he played. Here’s take a look at some of his characters:
Starring Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit in the lead role, Tezaab(1988) had Raju playing one of Anil's friend in the movie along with Johnny Lever.
Maine Pyar Kiya(1989) had Raju in a very small character of a truck cleaner. The film stars Salman Khan and Bhagyashree in the lead roles.
In Shah Rukh Khan starrer Baazigar, Raju played the role of a college student. The film also stars Kajol, and Shilpa Shetty.
Raju stole the limelight from Govinda in his brief apperance in 2001 film, Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya.
He turned to become Govinda's character Banne Khan's assistant in 2002 film, Waah! Tera Kya Kehna.
In Sooraj Barajatya's Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon, he played the role of Sanjana aka Kareena Kapoor's servant Sambhu. The film also stars Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan.
