The Witcher’s iconic Geralt of Rivia is getting ready to return to Netflix. Henry Cavill confirmed that the production has wrapped the shoot for season 3.

"I just wanted to thank you all for your determination and dedication through a tough shoot. Hopefully, you can all get some well-deserved rest. Sincerely and with respect, Henry Cavill."
The official season 3 synopsis reads, "As monarchs, mages and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri of Cintra into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri's magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where she hopes to discover more about the girl's untapped powers; instead, they discover they've landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line - or risk losing each other forever."
Netflix has seemingly greenlit seasons 4 and 5 of the series which will be reportedly shot back-to-back. While it is unclear when the production will begin, the seasons are currently in the writing stage.
Season 2 of the hit fantasy series ended with a new family being formed between Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri. As Collider notes, now that Ciri is public enemy number one and her father is one of the new big bads of the series, it will be interesting to see how the show develops the group’s dynamic. The new description sounds like a non-stop thrilling chase, it seems like we’re getting a little heavier into the politics of the mages and sorceresses.
