Ponniyin Selvan: I is Mani Ratnam's dream project and the film features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha Krishnan, Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles. The film's storyline is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 Tamil novel. The historical drama will hit the theatres on September 30. Mani Ratnam's film Ponniyin Selvan is backed by his production house Madras Talkies and Allirajah Subaskaran's banner Lyca Productions.
