Raju Srivastav passes away
Comedian turned politician Raju Srivastava breathed his last earlier this morning. He was 58. Raju Srivastava had been battling for life at the AIIMS hospital in Delhi. Raju suffered from a heart attack a couple of weeks ago and since he had been in a comatose state. Raju Srivastav had been on ventilator support since his hospitalisation. After fighting long and hard for about 40 days, Raju left for the heavenly abode this morning. He is survived by his wife, Shikha and two kids. Raju's friends have been with his family for the last couple of days, keeping updates, meeting them and praying for his life.

Shekhar Suman met his old friend Raju Srivastava a couple of weeks ago when the comedian joined him on the show, India's Laughter Champion as a guest. Shekhar recalled telling Raju to take care of his health as he seemed too thin. When the news of his heart attack reached him, Shekhar was shocked as he had just met him. After the tragic incident, Shekhar had been in constant touch with Raju's family and the hospital staff. H updated fans on how he had been recuperating.
