In midst of so much competition, it is much more important than ever that Bollywood stop making bad movies. In 2022, Bollywood gave us many horrible movies that we could have done without.
Here is the list of 2022 Bollywood movies that were not only rejected by audiences on the big screen but also were lowest rated on IMDb. These torturous movies turned out to be a complete waste of money and time.
1. Jahaan Chaar Yaar (IMDb- 1.2)
This Kamal Pandey-directed drama not only received negative reviews from the critics but from the audiences as well. Starring Swara Bhaskar, Meher Vij, Shikha Talsania, and Pooja Chopra in the lead role, the movie is about 4 married women who feel suffocated as housewives. They go for a trip and enjoy every second there.
2. Nikamma (IMDb- 2.4)
The movie marked the debut of Abhimanyu Dassani, son of Maine Pyar Kiya actress Bhagyashree. The movie also starred Shilpa Shetty and Shirley Setia. Being one of the lowest-rated Bollywood movies of 2022, it didn’t even touch the 2 crore mark in its lifetime run.
3. Heropanti 2, Om-the battle within (IMDb- 2.6)
It’s not at all surprising to find Tiger’s “Heropanti 2” and Aditya Roy Kapur’s “Om” on this list. With the awful acting and bad screenplay, these movies had hardly anything to keep the audience engaged. Both the films ride on a huge budget but failed to pull the footfalls towards the ticket windows.
4. Dobaaraa (IMDb- 2.8)
Taapsee Pannu starrer “Dobaaraa” was opened with rave reviews from critics but sadly the audience rejected the movie. As per various sources, the movie was made on the budget of 30 crores but finished its theatrical run with an estimated 3-4 crore lifetime, domestically.
5. Liger (IMDb- 2.9)
The bilingual film (Hindi-Telugu) “Liger” is rated 2.9 out of 10 on IMDb making it the 6th worst Bollywood film of 2022. Though it was one of the most awaited releases of 2022, the movie suffered huge losses at the box office. Backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Entertainment and Puri Connects, the movie was criticized heavily for its bad screenplay and bad acting skills.
6. Dhaakad (IMDb- 4.0)
Kangana’s “Dhaakad” made on a huge budget of 85 crores turned into a disaster at the box office and collected only 2.58 crores in its lifetime. The movie’s flop verdict sent shockwaves within the industry.
7. Shamshera (IMDb- 4.9)
The audience rejected Shamshera because of its pathetic screenplay and lousy storytelling, Made on a massive budget of 100-150 crores, this movie’s theatrical run turn out to be a huge disappointment. It failed to touch even the 50 crore mark at the box office in India.
8. Raksha Bandhan (IMDb- 4.6)
With an IMDb rating of 4.6, Raksha Bandhan also left many disappointed. Though the movie opened with mixed reviews from the critics, it took a below-par start at the box office. In terms of box office collections, this movie also emerged as one of the worst films of Akshay in 2022.
9. Laal Singh Chaddha (IMDb- 5.0)
After four years, Aamir Khan made his comeback to the big screens with “Laal Singh Chaddha”. Though the movie was one of the most anticipated movies of 2022, it turned out to be a huge disaster. With multiple controversies surrounding the past statements of Aamir and Kareena Kapoor Khan (female lead), many netizens called for a boycott of LSC.
10. Bachchan Paandey (IMDb-5.3)
Another Akshay Kumar starrer Bachchan Paandey turned into a disaster. This movie miserably failed to draw the audience into the cinema halls and bombed at the box office.
There are many more movies of 2022, that turned out to be a complete waste of time and money.
