Vidya Balan in Parineeta
The movie is based on the famous Bengali novel named Parineeta by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay. Parineeta is a young poor girl who is madly in love with Shekhar (Saif Ali Khan). The story showcases the life of Lolita at a naive age. The movie showcases Vidya as a strong-headed woman who came from a good family that had values. Lolita had the option of being submissive towards her lover but she chooses another man who respects her. The actress won the Filmfare Best Debut for essaying Lolita.
