The online dispute between Neha Kakkar and Falguni Pathak has changed course. The two singers appear to be back together! Surprised? It appears that they truly have, though. In a social media promotional video posted by Sony, the two singers are seen dancing together on the set of the acclaimed singing competition “Indian Idol 13.”
Neha Kakkar introduces the Theatre Round promotional video by discussing Navaratri. Bohot hi acha din hain aaj, theatre round hain, and iske shurwat hum matarani k naam leke kare usse jyada khubsoorat kuch nahi ho sakta are some of the things she says.
She then introduces Falguni Pathak in the show saying, “Humare beech legendary Falguni ma’am aayi hain” and then Neha can be seen playing dandiya along with the show’s judge Himesh Reshammiya, host Aditya Narayan around Falguni Pathak who croons a song.
Neha Kakar’s remake of Falguni Pathak’s popular 1990s song “Maine Payal Hai Chhankai” as “O Sajna,” however, came after Falguni expressed her displeasure.
Falguni poked fun at Neha earlier by saying, “I wish I could, but the rights are not with me,” in response to calls for Neha Kakkar to be sued for tarnishing her own renowned song.
Fans’ reactions to the new Indian Idol teaser, which features the two in the Navratri special episode, were varied after Sony released it. Some referred to it as a PR stunt.
“Song ko popular karvane ke liye kya kya karte hai yeh log,” one follower remarked on social media. “Pehle social media par lad ke attention grab karte hai phir ek sath TV par perform karte hai.” What all of these folks do to make their song a hit is kya dikhava hai yaar. What a strut! They perform together on TV after fighting on social media to garner attention.
Another said, “Ye log bs public standards ke liye karte hai.”
Another user commented on Neha’s use of the song “#kya kami thi” on Instagram, saying, “Neha should pay royalty to falguni ma’am for using her song #kya kami thi neha – we use to look at you as our idol this was not expected from you. Kindly rectify your mistake and give proper respect and credit to falguni ma’am.”
A 4th user commented on it, “Shame on you falguni jii you did that just to grab attention 
completely disappointed.”
