1. Hrithik Roshan
Hrithik Roshan who was once a smoker eventually quit the habit upon realizing the harmful effects of cigarettes. Three years ago, in a response to a fan on Twitter, he clarified that he is a “non-smoker” and even labelled cigarettes a “virus.”
“I am a non smoker. And if I was Krrish, first thing I’d do after eradicating this virus would be to decimate every last cigarette from this planet,” Hrithik had tweeted.
2. Salman Khan
Salman Khan who is one of the biggest stars in the Bollywood film industry was a chain-smoker. However, he reportedly got rid of smoking after suffering some health issues.
3. Arjun Rampal
Arjun Rampal who cultivated the smoking habit when he was in boarding school gave up the habit of smoking during the nationwide coronavirus lockdown in 2020. Interestingly, it is his baby boy Arik who motivated him to quit cigarettes.
“I was sitting with Arik in the middle of a pandemic, and I thought I’m just messing my lungs, and playing with my health. I know the capacity I have for outputs is far greater than what it is today,” he told Hindustan Times.
4. Saif Ali Khan
Saif Ali Khan made up his mind to get rid of the smoking habit after he was reportedly hospitalized for a ‘heart attack’ when he was 36 years old as a result of smoking. This is the reason why he quit smoking.
5. Vivek Oberoi
Vivek Oberoi also used to smoke a lot in the past. If reports doing the rounds are to be believed, one visit to a cancer hospital in Mumbai changed his life completely. Since then, he quit smoking for good and has even been featured in many “no smoking” commercials.
