Actor Salman Khan is known for his Eid releases. The actor has over 9 movies released on Eid which broke box office records. Again, there are a few Eid releases that have proved lucky for others besides Salman Khan. These releases feature Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Akshay Kumar, among others.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Chennai Express marked the first collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and the filmmaker. The film features Deepika Padukone and it emerged to be a blockbuster. It won the hearts of many, apart from raking numbers. Chennai Express theatrically released on August 9, 2013, in India and on August 8 in the overseas markets. And, the budget was Rs 70 crore. Furthermore, the film raked an estimated collection of Rs 423 crore.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa

Bhool Bhulaiyaa revolved around an NRI return, whose wife is possessed by the spirit of a dancer, Manjulika. It stars Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Shiney Ahuja, and Ameesha Patel . The film was an Eid release and proved lucky for Akshay Kumar too. It released on October 12, 2017. Bhool Bhulaiyaa, made on a budget of Rs 32 crore, raked an estimated collection of Rs 82 crore, at the box office. In 2022, the makers made a sequel starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani. The film released in 2022. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was one of the blockbusters of that year.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham released on December 14, 2001. The movie featured an ensemble cast, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan, and Kareena Kapoor, with Rani Mukerji in an extended cameo appearance. And, Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham was one of the most expensive movies of that time. It emerged as a commercial and critical success. The film became one of the highest-grossing Indian films as well.

Kal Ho Na Ho

The story of Kal Ho Na Ho was by Karan Johar and it was directed by Nikhil Advani. The 2003 release featured Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta in key roles. The movie released theatrically on November 28, 2003. And, it was commercially successful, at the box office. Besides that, Kal Ho Na Ho became the highest-grossing Indian film of that year too.

Don: The Chase begins

The movie Don: The Chase Begins stars Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Arjun Rampal. And, even today, fans are eagerly waiting for the third part of the franchise, Don 3. Besides that, Farhan Akhtar directed the film and Ritesh Sidhwani produced it. The film released on October 20, 2006. The film was a major commercial success at the box office. Again, Don: The Chase Begins became the fifth-highest-grossing Hindi movie of 2006.

Furthermore, Salman Khan is once again gearing up for an Eid release. His film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is released on Eid al-Fitr 2023. The movie came to theatres on April 21. And, besides Salman Khan, the film features Pooja Hegde, Venkatesh Daggubati, and Jagapathi Babu, in key roles. It features Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, among others, too.
