Raveena Tandon recently opened up about her past relationship with Akshay Kumar and addressed the rumours surrounding their breakup. In a conversation with Barkha Dutt for Mojo Story, Raveena candidly spoke about how the media sensationalized their split and how she dealt with the aftermath.
The actress clarified that while the media made a big fuss about their breakup, for her, it was a personal matter. She emphasized that relationships sometimes don't work out, but that doesn't mean people can't remain friends. Raveena expressed her confusion over the media's obsession with her personal life at that time, highlighting that what mattered most to her was her family's and friends' opinions.
Addressing the rumours of a suicide attempt and her adoption of two girls after the breakup, Raveena explained that there was no control over the stories circulating in the media. She revealed that she decided to adopt the girls when she turned 21 because she felt they deserved a better life. Raveena also mentioned that her adopted daughters were primarily raised by her parents, who also helped bring up her two biological children with her husband, Anil Thadani.
On the work front, Raveena and Akshay are set to reunite on-screen after several years in the upcoming film Welcome to the Jungle. Akshay expressed his excitement about working with Raveena again, highlighting their successful collaborations in the past, including Mohra, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, and Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi.
