Shraddha Kapoor's Stree 2 made history by becoming the first Hindi movie to earn more than Rs 600 crore in India. The film earned Rs 5.32 crore on its 6th Sunday (September 22). Stree 2 was released in theaters on August 15 and competed against Akshay Kumar's Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham's Vedaa. However, Stree 2 has been the most successful movie at the box office since its release.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Stree 2's net collection is now at Rs 604.22 crore. He wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "IT'S 600 PAAR... #Stree2 creates HISTORY as the first #Hindi film to achieve this milestone... From metros to non-metros, multiplexes to single screens and urban centers to mass markets, #Stree2 is an OUTRIGHT WINNER across the board. It would be premature to predict the lifetime biz, as #Stree2 has consistently surprised with phenomenal numbers day after day, week after week."
