 Stree 2 Continues its Box Office Dominance

The horror-comedy film Stree 2, featuring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, and Pankaj Tripathi, is still going strong at the box office, even on its 40th day, which was a Sunday.

  • Day 40 Collection: It's estimated that the movie made between 4.5 to 5 crore rupees in India on its sixth Sunday.
  • Total Collection in India: The total earnings in India are now around 555.7 to 556.2 crore rupees, according to trade estimates. The producers have reported a slightly higher figure of 598.9 crore rupees for Day 39.
  • Overseas Collection: The movie has also done well overseas, raking in a gross collection of $16 million, which is about 134.3 crore rupees.
  • Worldwide Collection: Combining both India and overseas earnings, the total worldwide gross collection is a whopping 790.2 crore rupees!

Day-by-Day Performance

The movie has consistently performed well, even on weekdays. Here's a quick look at its collections for the past few days:

  • Day 39 (Saturday): 3.4 crore rupees (trade figure) or 3.8 crore rupees (producer figure)
  • Day 38 (Friday): 4.7 crore rupees (trade figure) or 5.2 crore rupees (producer figure)

Record-Breaking Opening

Stree 2 had an amazing opening, beating other big movies released in 2024 like Kalki and Fighter. It even earned more on its first day than Gadar 2. The only movie with a bigger opening day last year was released on Independence Day.

Paid Previews Success

Stree 2 also broke records with its paid previews, earning 8.5 crore rupees (trade figure) or 9.4 crore rupees (producer figure) on the Wednesday evening before its official release. This beat the previous record held by Shahrukh Khan's Chennai Express.
