 The film Vaazhai, directed by Mari Selvaraj, was a huge hit even without famous actors. Made on a small budget of just Rs 5 crore, it earned a whopping Rs 35.8 crore worldwide. Another film called Lubber Pandhu, the first movie directed by Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, is also creating a lot of buzz, even without any big stars.



Lubber Pandhu, starring Devadarshini Chetan and Harish Kalyan, has been loved by the audience. It's produced by S Lakshman Kumar and focuses on themes of social justice and equality. Released on September 20, the movie was made on a small budget, estimated to be around Rs 5 crore.

The story takes place in a village and shows a strong rivalry between two local cricket players, Gethu and Anbu. Things get even more complicated when Anbu falls in love with Gethu's daughter. The movie is about their clash of egos but also has funny moments. The director also did a great job showing village cricket matches and the politics involved.

Even with the popularity of online streaming, Lubber Pandhu is doing well in theaters because of its interesting story and good direction. It made Rs 75 lakh on its first day and then saw a huge increase, earning Rs 1.65 crore the next day. In just four days, it has already made Rs 5.25 crore.

Many critics have said that even though the movie doesn't have big stars, it's successful because of its strong story and the director's skill. The cast also includes other talented actors like Dinesh, Jensan Diwakar, Geetha Kailasam, Sanjana, Bala Saravanan, Tamilmani D, Kaali Venkat, and Swasika Vijay.
