Movies are incomplete without starcast. The main character or lead plays a very important role in a success of a movie. But this is not enough because a single person cannot make a movie Superhit. It requires effort from the entire team. Similarly supporting cast also plays a crucial role in a success. There are various supporting actors who were legends during 90’s, but now they are inactive and we miss them badly.
1. Dinesh Hingoo
Dinesh Hingoo has mainly played comic roles and made people laugh by his acting skills. Whether it was the dual role of Doctor and Hotel Staff from ‘No Entry’ or Chaman Jhingaa from ‘Hera Pheri’; he played it with perfection. His famous films apart from the couple mentioned above are Judaai, Saajan and Baazigar.
2. Viju Khote
Remember this dialogue ‘Sardar, maine aapka namak khaya hai‘ from ‘Sholay’ ? Yes, this epic dialogue was delivered by Viju Khote in the film Sholay where he played Dacoit Kaalia. Apart from this famous epic blockbuster movie, he is also remembered for the role of Roberts from ‘Andaz Apna Apna’. Overall he has played character roles in more than 300 films of Hindi and Marathi Cinema.
3. Rakesh Bedi
Rakesh Bedi is also one of the actors who mostly played comic roles. His famous roles are from movies Hero No. 1, Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahin and Yes Boss. He has also done many television shows like Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi (1984), Shriman Shrimati (1994-95) etc. He is currently playing a role of ‘Bhooreylal Angoori’s father’ infamous comedy serial Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai.
4. Kader Khan
One of the legendary actors of Bollywood, Kader Khan has played many versatile roles in his entire career. His movies with Govinda during 90’s were hilarious and still can be watched for a laughter dose. He is also a script and dialogue writer and as well as Director. He got the Best Comedian Award from Filmfare for movie ‘Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri’. He has also done many television shows and most popular was ‘Hasna Mat’.

5. Razak Khan
Unfortunately, this person is not with us anymore. But his roles and characters played by him will always be immortal. His famous roles were of Manikchand from movie Baadshah and Babu Bisleri from Hungama.
6. Reema Lagoo
Another great personality we lost is Reema Lagoo. She mostly played the role of mother and made a huge mark by her actings and touched millions of hearts with her role. She is well recognized by her roles in Blockbuster movies like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hai Koun..!, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Vaastav, Dilwale, Kal Ho Naa Ho to name a few. She also appeared in television serials like Tu Tu Main Main, Shriman Shrimati and Naamkaran.
7. Guddi Maruti
Remember Divya Bharati’s friend from Shola Aur Shabnam. Guddi Maruti played many comedy roles in 90’s. Her famous movies are Dulhe Raja, Biwi No. 1, Chamatkaar and Khiladi.

8. Harish Patel
Harish Patel is also a comedian actor of 90’s and appeared in various movies and television shows. Maine Pyaar Kiya, Shola Aur Shabnam, Mohra, Andaaz Apna Apna and Gupt: The Hidden Truth recognizes his role.
9. Anjana Mumtaz
She was also famous for playing mother’s role in Hindi cinema. Dulh Raja and Saajan Chale Sasural are super hit films where she played a role of mother; both starring Govinda.

10. Lakshmikant Berde
‘Comedy Superstar of Marathi Cinema’, Lakshmikant Berde has left us in the year 2004. His contribution to Marathi Cinema is unmatchable. He has also worked in many Bollywood films and mostly played the role of main lead friend. He worked in movies like Maine Pyaar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hai Koun..!, Saajan, Taqdeerwala, Hamesha and Anari.
11. Sadashiv Amrapurkar
Sadashiv Amrapurkar was versatile Indian actor known for his performances in Hindi and Marathi Cinema. Who can forget the role of ‘Maharani’ from Sadak 1991? He received Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role for the same. Other famous roles he did in movies like Aankhen, Ishq, Hum Hain Kamaal Ke, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Mohra to name a few.
These supporting actors were very popular during their time and established themselves as the finest actors of Bollywood. There are many actors who have changed their real name before entering Bollywood.
