1. Jolly LLB 2– 30 days
The Akshay Kumar starrer went on to rake crazy numbers at the box office just like its predecessor. However, this time the male lead (Arshad Warsi) was replaced by Akshay Kumar. The Subhash Kapoor directorial was shot in just a span of 30 days. All the shootings took place at the real locales of Lucknow. Thus, there was no need to set up elaborate film sets.
2. Tanu Weds Manu Returns– 30 days
The sequel of Tanu Weds Manu starring Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan was a smashing hit at the box office. The sequel even had Kangana Ranaut to play two characters; Tanu and Datto. Despite having such an extensive role in the film, the actress wrapped up the film in just 30 days, 20 days ahead of her schedule.
3. Kaabil– 77 days
Kaabil was Hrithik Roshan’s sort-of comeback film after his debacle in Mohenjodaro. The film which was based on a blind man who vowed to avenge his wife, was high on action and drama. Despite being an action-packed film, Kaabil took only 77 days to be shot. However, the film was planned to be shot in 88 days, but the crew completed the work in just 88 days.
4. Housefull 3– 38 days
Superstar Akshay Kumar wrapped up this film in just 38 days. The actor usually does more than 3 movies every year. Thus, he makes a point of not spending more than 60 days on a single project.
5. Ki & Ka– 45 days
The R Balki film based on gender neutrality in a marriage won accolades for its different topic. Starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor, the film was shot in just 45 days.
6. Bareilly Ki Barfi– 60 days
The film had Ayushmann Khurrana, Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles. Being a light-hearted comedy, it raked in good numbers at the box office. The director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari filmed the entire movie on real locations thus it saved them a lot of time for setting up a structure and pre-planning. According to the reports, Bareilly Ki Barfi was shot within two months in Lucknow and Bareilly.
7. Haraamkhor– 16 days
Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Shweta Tripathi’s light-hearted comedy made headlines for its offbeat topic. It was based on a village teacher who falls in love with his student. The latter in turn falls in love with her classmate. This leads to a love triangle that takes the story forward. Haraamkhor directed by Shlok Sharma was filmed in just 16 days!
