1. Amitabh Bachchan- ₹500
Big B was initially working with a shipping firm in the city of Kolkata with a deep interest in acting. His first salary at the firm was Rs. 500 only.
2. Shah Rukh Khan- ₹50
The romance king of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan has seen many ups and downs in his career. SRK got his first salary as just Rs. 50, in an interview he revealed that he spent the amount to get a train ticket to Agra as he wanted to see Taj Mahal.
3. Sonam Kapoor- ₹3000
The daughter of Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor could have used her father’s reference to get movies. But she wanted to learn as a prudent man did so she joined as an assistant to Sanjay Leela Bansali. There is also news that while she was working as an assistant she used to travel by metro to the location. The job offered her pay of Rs. 3000.
4. Rohit Shetty- ₹35
The famous director and the all-time favorite host for the reality show Khatro Ke Khiladi, Rohit Shetty is the Bollywood hit machine. Famous movies such as Singham, Simmba, Chennai Express and many more have been directed and produced by him. Before he started his carrier he used to work as an assistant director to the filmmaker Kuku Kohli. He used to earn a minimum amount of Rs. 35 per day.
5. Dharmendra- ₹500
The actor turned politician, Dharmendra has many hit movies to his name n the Bollywood industry. When he did his debut in the Bollywood he was only given a sum of 500 for his role.
6. Randeep Hooda- $8
Randeep’s famous roles include Sarbjit, Highway, Kiack, and many more. But before his debut film, he used to work in a Chinese restaurant in Australia to sustain life. He used to earn $ 8 per hour and $ 1.3 for each delivery he made.
7. Irrfan Khan– ₹25
The legendary actor Irrfan Khan who recently passed away leaving a blank space in the Bollywood industry. Irrfan Khan before coming into the profession of acting was a teacher. He used to teach students and the fees he charged was Rs. 25 per student. Of to a low start but Irrfan Khan through his dedication and perseverance managed to build his net worth to 50 million dollars.
8. Aamir Khan- ₹1000
Aamir Khan the Mr. perfectionist of Bollywood is famous for his roles in Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par, Ghajini, PK, 3 Idiots. Aamir worked as an assistant directory initially before starting his carrier as an actor. He used to get an amount of Rs. 1000 from the work he did.
9. Hrithik Roshan- ₹100
Hrithik Roshan started his carrier as a child actor and he got Rs. 100 as salary. He said in an interview that he spent that amount to buy toy cars.
10. Priyanka Chopra- ₹5000
Priyanka Chopra has gained fame not only in India but all across the world. She received her first payment of Rs. 5000 which she gave it to her mother who still treasures the amount
11. Naseeruddin Shah- ₹7.50
Naseeruddin Shah started his carrier at an early age of 16. He received his first paycheck of Rs. 7.50 for standing behind actor Rajendra Kumar for his funeral scene.
12. Manoj Bajpayee– ₹1200
The actor struggled a lot to make his name in the Bollywood industry. Manoj Bajpayee used to assist Barry John in directing plays which got him a salary of Rs. 1200.
13. Akshay Kumar- ₹1500
The carrier journey of Akshay Kumar is a roller coaster ride. Before making it to Bollywood Akshay worked as a chef and waiter in a restaurant in Bangkok. The salary which he got was Rs. 1500. Since he was not enjoying the job he did he left it and started a new career as an actor.

Emraan Hashmi got selected for a TV advertisement when he was a 7 years old. For that role, he was offered a sum of Rs. 2500.
15. Kalki Koechlin- £40
Kalki famous for her role in Yeh Jawneen Hai Diwani as Aditi saw huge difficulties in her life. When she was in London to complete her education Kalki used to work as a waitress in a cafe. Her first salary was 40 pounds which she used to pay her rent.
