Like many famous Bollywood actress’s Deepika Padukone is that name which has managed to carve itself in the golden book of Bollywood. With her exceptional and flawless beauty, Deepika has charmed the whole nation and now the foreign countries as well. She debuted with Om Shanti Om which became a milestone in her career and gave her career a boost. Deepika accepted and rejected many films just like the other Bollywood celebrities do, but some movies which she rejected might have made her regret her decision later.
1. Jab Tak Hai Jaan
Before Katrina Kaif the role of Meera was offered to Deepika by Yash Chopra. Deepika missed the one-time opportunity of working with Yash Chopra and who knew that it would be his last film. Even though the audience did not like Katrina’s acting yet this movie managed to do well at the box office.
2. Fast & Furious 7
One of the ultimate goals of the Bollywood stars is to act in Hollywood movies. When Deepika was shooting for Goliyon Ki Raasleela, she got an offer to be a part of the Fast & Furious 7 franchise, but she rejected the offer as she stayed committed to Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Even though it is good that she worked for the person whom she committed first but letting go an opportunity to work with Vin Diesel is sad.
3. Sultan
Yash Raj films’ desperately wanted Deepika to act opposite Salman Khan, but Deepika denied and even after a lot of convincing she did not agree. Thus after her, Anushka Sharma was approached, and she readily accepted the movie. This movie set the box office on fire and became a massive hit.
4. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo
Sooraj Barjatya wanted everything perfect for this movie, and thus he approached Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone for this movie. Salman on the one hand happily accepted the offer, but Deepika on the other rejected this offer. Later Sonam Kapoor was cast, and eventually, this movie did a business of around 200 INR crores at the box office.
5. Kick
Many Bollywood actresses aspire to work with the Khans, but Deepika is different. Again she was approached by Sajid Nadiadwala to star opposite Salman Khan but alas! Deepika once again answered a big “No.” Then Jacqueline Fernandez was hired, and the movie won the hearts of the audience.
6. Dhoom 3
This time again Deepika lost a golden opportunity. She was approached by the makers to be a part of the movie but the makers faced rejection and thus they approached their friend Katrina Kaif again who accepted the offer. And then what happened after that is very well known by all of us.
7. Roy
Even though all the movies listed above were rejected by Deepika and we concluded that she might have regretted her decisions. But rejecting Roy was a smart decision taken by her. This movie failed miserably at the box office, and after Deepika rejected it, Ayesha Amir was approached who accepted the offer.
