The Kashmir Files which is making the headlines since the day of its release is creating a rampage at the box office. The film was released on 11 March 2020 with 600 screens, showing the growth of over 100% on day 2 and over 300% on day 3 in its BO collection, the screen counts also reached a phenomenal no. of 2000 on Sunday.
As per the latest reports, Vivek Agnihotri’s directorial is currently being played on 2500 screens in India with 5 thousand shows & counting and overseas in 200 screens in 20 countries with 100 shows & counting.
The film has seen unprecedented growth in its box office collection since Friday (March 11). The low-budget film had raked in a huge over Rs 27 crores on its three days weekend and was simultaneously considered a hit.
Kashmir Files is now being considered as the people’s film, audience showering massive respect to the entire crew & cast of the film on Twitter, especially the filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri and the veteran actor Anupam Kher, many comparing the latter’s performance with the Heath Ledger’s Joker (The Dark Knight)

Recently JBTimes shared that, the filmmaker Aditya Dhar had taken to Twitter and expressed his views on the film, in a long Twitter thread praising the director and the actor for showing the hard-hitting facts of the killing & exodus of his own people in the valley. Now his wife known Bollywood actress Yami Gautam also took to Twitter and urges everyone to watch the film.
Her tweet reads, “Being Married to a Kashmiri Pandit, I know First Hand of the Atrocities that this Peace-loving Community has gone through. But the majority of the Nation is Still Unaware. It took us 32 years and a Film to Get to know the truth. Please watch and support TheKashmirFiles.”
TAX-FREE IN 5 STATES
With the Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Karnataka, now the government of Uttar Pradesh also declared Kashmir Files tax-free in the state. The news was given by the U.P cm Yogi Adityanath himself through social media platforms. Now Kashmir Files has become tax-free in 5 states of the country.
Talking about the box office collection, TKF had minted the unexpected collection on Day 5 (Monday), it garnered the same amount of footfalls as Sunday and amassed Rs 15.05 Cr on Monday.
With it, the film becomes the highest grosser of Bollywood Day 4 (Monday) post-pandemic, leaving behind Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi (Rs 14.51 Cr), Gangubai Kathiawadi (Rs 8.19 Cr), and ’83 starring Ranveer Singh (Rs 7.29 Cr)

The film is becoming bigger and bigger day by day, and it will not be exaggerating to say that it could enter Rs 150 or even Rs 200 crore nett. As per our early estimates, The Kashmir Files would collect over Rs 10 Cr on Tuesday at the domestic market.
