Now, a TV show has quite a journey, no? The makers or the writers bring in such plot twists that make fans either sit up and binge or just pull their hair out. Today, we will be having a look at these and more popular TV shows which featured unbearable tragedies to help boost the TRPs.
Let's begin with the TOP TV show Anupamaa. Recently, the makers brought a new twist in the show. Gaurav Khanna aka Anuj met with a terrible accident after which he was left paralyzed. Vanraj does not know whether he pushed Anuj or not. But the accident was too dramatic and seemed a little unnecessary. Also, it led to rumours of Gaurav Khanna's exit leaving fans angry.

In Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar starrer TV show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, we saw RaYa separation. Ram Kapoor and Priya parted ways after Shivina's death. Priya went to jail and she was also pregnant at that time. She later delivered a baby girl and has been away from Ram for the last 5 years. Too much to handle, no?

Neil Bhatt, Ayesha Singh and Aishwarya Sharma starrer TV show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin saw a five-year leap taking place. (the 5-year leap is quite common on ITV these days). Before the leap, Sai and Virat went their separate ways. Tbh, Sai and Virat have been more at loggerheads than in love and happy till now. Yet SaiRat fans want to see them together. Also, kids were brought into the show. Another tragic and a tried and tested formula was the lead character not being able to conceive. Sai had an issue with conceiving and hence a surrogacy track was introduced.
Imlie also featured a miscarriage and was unable to conceive after that. Later, Sumbul Touqeer Khan and Fahmaan Khan aka Imlie and Aryan parted ways in one of the most shocking ways. Fahmaan and Sumbul's fans aka Sumaan fans were very angry.
Separations have been a part of Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary and Ankit Gupta starrer Udaariyaan quite a lot. Recently, it seems Tejo had a miscarriage. Later, it was found that she cannot conceive. Recently, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai saw a twist in the story of Abhimanyu and Akshara. They parted ways as soon as Abhimanyu's surgery was done. Akshara left him because Kunal put a condition in front of her. It was very wrong to separate AbhiRa in such a manner (the condition).
