For a couple of years now, Jacqueline Fernandez's name has been the talk of the town for the wrong reasons. The Vikrant Rona actress has been embroiled in the case of money laundering and fraud of Rs 200, allegedly conducted by a conman named Sukesh Chandrasekhar. ED aka Enforcement Directorate has been investigating Jacqueline Fernandez's involvement in the money laundering probe and she has been questioned on a number of occasions about the same too. And now Jacqueline Fernandez has been named as the accused in the charge sheet filed by the ED, state reports. It is said that a charge sheet of about 7000 pages has been filed against Sukesh Chandrasekhar.

Jacqueline Fernandez-Sukesh Chandrasekhar money laundering case: Jacky may not be arrested but there's a ban on international travel  

The latest updates on the Sukesh Chandrasekhar money laundering case states that while Jacqueline has been named as the accused, she might not just get arrested. The court might ask for a detailed probe into the matter. The latest updates also state that due to the probe, Jacqueline Fernandez may not be allowed to travel outside the country. And now, the legal team of Jacqueline Fernandez will counter the charge sheet on the grounds that the Rama Setu actress was not aware of the extortion business.

As per reports, Jacqueline Fernandez admitted to being in touch with Sukesh Chandrasekhar since 2017. The actress shared that he met her on the pretext of being the owner of Sun TV. He also claimed to be hailing from the family of late politician and former actress Jayalalithaa. As per a news wire agency, Jacqueline's sister took a loan from Sukesh of about $1,50,000 and that about Rs 15 lakh was also transferred to her brother's account.

Jacqueline Fernandez-Sukesh Chandrasekhar money laundering case: The conman showered Jacky with gifts 

As per the reports, Jacqueline Fernandez was showered with gifts worth crores of rupees by Sukesh Chandrasekhar. It is being said that Jacqueline confessed to getting gifts from Sukesh which included designer bags of brands Gucci and Chanel, two Gucci gym wear outfits. She also got Louis Vuitton shoes and two pairs of diamond earrings. Sukesh is also said to have gifted Jacqueline a studded bracelet. She is also said to have received two Hermes bracelets. ED claims that Sukesh also gifted Jacqueline a Mini Cooper. ED has attached assets worth Rs 7 crore in the case.

Jacqueline Fernandez-Sukesh Chandrasekhar money laundering case: Leaked intimate pictures go viral

A couple of months ago, Jacqueline Fernandez and Sukesh Chandrasekhar's intimate pictures had been leaked online. It went viral like wildfire. There was also a picture of Jacqueline in very close proximity to Sukesh. The latter admitted that they had been in a relationship and claimed that their relationship was based on love and respect. He expressed his shock at the way their relationship was being projected in the media. Furthermore, Sukesh also accepted that he showered Jacqueline with a lot of gifts. Nora Fatehi is also said to have been involved in the case. She was also interrogated by the ED as well wherein, as per reports, she claimed to have got a car from Sukesh Chandrasekhar's wife Leena Maria. She has claimed to have rejected any involvement in any kind of extortion business.

Jacqueline Fernandez-Sukesh Chandrasekhar money laundering case: Who is Sukesh Chandrasekhar 

Sukesh Chandrasekhar was arrested by the police in the case of Rs 200 crore money laundering. Sukesh said to have duped Aditi S Singh, the wife of former Fortis promoter Shivinder Singh and extorted money. He has several criminal cases filed against him. The ED has said to have seized his properties.
