India is a country rich in traditions, and let’s just say that Bollywood is one that most Indians have followed from the beginning and continue to do so today. We’ve liked it all, whether it’s hero-villain confrontations from the 1990s or early 2000s, cliched love storylines, or ridiculous, wild action-packed episodes, and it gives us an irreplaceable sense of nostalgia as we grow older.

While performers such as Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and others continue to delight us to this day, there are a few actors that we enjoyed watching but left Bollywood too soon. Here’s a list of Bollywood performers that wowed us with their performances in whatever parts they performed, yet left the industry when they could have done so much more.

Rajat Bedi

Remember the tough Bollywood villain who would try to kidnap the hero’s girl or, at the very least, keep him in trouble all the time? In films like Koi.. Mil Gaya, International Khiladi, and Jaani Dushman, the towering and muscular Rajat Bedi was the king of acting.

In fact, he was so skilled at what he did that we couldn’t have imagined a larger jack*** in the movies than him. While his acting ability deserves a lot of credit, Rajat’s Bollywood career was cut short when he relocated to Vancouver, Canada in quest of better commercial opportunities.

Rahul Khanna

Rahul Khanna, the younger brother of Akshaye Khanna and the son of late actor turned politician Vinod Khanna, had everything he needed to make it big in Bollywood. For Deepa Mehta’s Earth (1999), the actor, VJ, and writer earned a Filmfare Best Male Debut Award, and went on to work in Spike Lee’s 3 AM (director of Malcolm X, BlacKkKlansman).

Rahul, on the other hand, abruptly stopped appearing in films and now works as a model and Instagram influencer. To be fair, the good-looking actor does a great job of wow his viewers with gorgeous images of himself.

Sahil Khan

Remember the hulking hunk who starred alongside Sharman Joshi in the Style film series? Yeah, Sahil Khan’s debut was excellent, and he was expected to have a successful career as a Bollywood actor soon after.

However, he quietly left Bollywood to pursue a career outside of it, citing nepotism as one of the reasons. Sahil did so well that he was featured alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan on the cover of Stardust magazine.

He even blamed Salman for him getting booted out of films, which was one of the numerous reasons he quit acting for good, according to his article. It’s not all terrible for Sahil, though, since he’s had a successful career outside of Bollywood.

He is now a fitness enthusiast and influencer with a large number of gym franchises under his belt. He was clearly as street savvy as he was in his debut picture, and he went on to have a successful career.

Chandrachur Singh

Chandrachur Singh portrayed the chocolate boy/boy next door in Shah Rukh Khan’s successful films Kya Kehna and Josh. I mean, just being on par with SRK in a film is a huge accomplishment, and many people believed he’d move on to greater fame in the future.

Chandrachur, too, abruptly departed Bollywood because he felt he couldn’t obtain the content-oriented films he desired. Last year, he returned to star in Disney + Hotstar’s Aarya, and with the OTT platforms focusing on more content-oriented films, we believe he can make a strong comeback if he so desires.

Deepak Tijori

The good-looking actor appeared in a number of successful films, including Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Khiladi, and Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, alongside Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Shah Rukh Khan. Many people are unaware that he beat out Akshay Kumar for the role of the villain in Jo Jeet Wohi Sikandar.

With a bright future ahead of him, Deepak decided to change careers and began working as a director. He hasn’t really quit Bollywood, but he certainly isn’t acting as much these days.
