Here are some celebs, who indulge in various farming activities from sowing seeds to tilling to harvesting.
1. R Madhavan
Some time back, R Madhavan shared how he bought a completely barren land and turned it into a lush green coconut farm. As per the sources, it took almost five years of constant hard work to achieve this milestone. He also shared how they rejuvenated the barren soil using modern, organic and traditional methods of agriculture. No one can deny that his hard work is well paid!
2. Kangana Ranaut
Kangana took to Twitter to share how her mom, who was a Sanskrit teacher, also loves farming and how single-handedly grows everything that one needs in the kitchen. During the lockdown, she also helped her mother in farming.
Kangana Ranaut had recently revealed that her mother single-handedly “grows almost everything one might need in a kitchen.” She spend her time during the lockdown in her ancestral home in Manali, where she helped her mother in farming.

3. Nawazuddin Siddiqui
Do you know much before he ventured into movies, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was a farmer? And, even after his successful Bollywood career, he hasn’t quit farming. As per various reports, when he is not acting, he is tilling the soil on his farms in UP. From time to time, he took to social media to share pics of the mustard field owned by his family.
4. Dharmendra
Even after being one of the most successful superstars of his era, Dharmendra still indulges in farming. He keeps sharing glimpses of his farming on social media. During the lockdown, he shared how he spent most of his time doing organic farming.
5. Juhi Chawla
Juhi Chawla is one celeb, who not only enjoy farming but also supported farmers during the pandemic. During an interview with IANS, she shared her decision of lending her family farmland to the landless farmer to cultivate rice.
“Since we’re in a lockdown, I’ve decided to give our land to landless farmers to farm on. We’re letting them farm rice this season and in return take a small portion of the produce for themselves.” She further added, “It’s not a new practice. It’s just going back to the past to the way farming was done decades ago, but then isn’t that the wiser way? Our farmers know the land, soil, wind, and air far better than we city people ever will from our textbook knowledge,”
6. Prakash Raj
More than a decade ago, Prakash Raj bought a few acres of land to plant trees. In the past few years, he started sowing vegetables and grain. In his interview with the Times of India, he said, “I have become more handsome, patient and peaceful after taking up farming,”
7. Shilpa Shetty
From growing organic vegetables at home to teaching her kids on how to grow organic vegetables and fruits without artificial fertilizers, Shilpa Shetty is quite popular for her interest in farming. As per reports, she took up organic farming several years ago.
8. Jackie Shroff
Like other celebs on the list, Jackie Shroff also spends a lot of his time at his farmhouse located between Mumbai and Pune. Many times, he shared on his Instagram to share his love for gardening and homegrown vegetables.
9. Preity Zinta
Preity Zinta has often shared her organic farming harvest over social media. Preity, who learned how to grow vegetables at home from her mother, grows fresh capsicums and tomatoes. On various occasions, she has shared her love for farming.
