There has been a strong debate over content-driven films being the reason behind the rise of OTT. Bollywood movies too have witnessed a change in its outlook over the years. BUT! Television serials still seem to be stuck to the old mantra of showcasing some most absurd scenes and dramatic storylines that are very hard to relate. Even though TV viewers love to watch the unrealistic twists in shows, there have been times when makers have gone far beyond reality to boost TRPs. Here's looking at some of the most illogical scenes shown in TV shows that made fans say 'What just happened?'
Scenes in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin
The very latest scene that made fans go WTF was from Neil Bhatt, Ayesha Singh and Aishwarya Sharma's Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. A police officer performed a delivery by consulting a doctor over a video call. Well, this was after the woman became a surrogate mother illegally. The scene was a copy of a scene from the movie 3 Idiots. It was simply unbearable for the viewers to watch it happen!
Anupamaa
In the show Anupamaa, fans are now getting agitated with how the leading lady Anu is shown carrying out the Bahu duties for the Shah family despite her divorce from Vanraj. Though relationships can be complicated this is on a different tangent. Anupamaa is now happily married to Anuj Kapadia but most of her time is spent taking care of the Shahs. Plus, Anu and Vanraj will come up with the same name for the granddaughter. That is telepathy to a whole new level.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai
In Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, there was a Spiderman scene wherein Harshad Chopda aka Abhimanyu performed a Spiderman scene when he hung upside down from a tree to kiss his ladylove Pranali Rathod aka Akshara. When Spiderman does it, it's watchable as he is a superhero but Abhimanyu? Makers want to make the show relatable showcasing stars as normal as any other human being but such scenes simply defy the purpose.
Sangita Ghosh
In the TV show Swarn Ghar, it was shown that Sangita Ghosh's dupatta gets stuck in a table fan. First of all, the way her dupatta flies and falls on the table fan that is quite far from where she is, is pretty unrealistic. Secondly, the scene shows that she is choking as her dupatta is wrapped around her neck. Logic says that she can simply remove her dupatta with one twist. But the drama shown was uff!
Ishq Mein Marjaavan 2
In the show Ishq Mein Marjaavan 2, Helly Shah's character bumps into a pillar and falls straight into the suitcase. Not just she fits into the suitcase, but a man even closes it without noticing there is a woman inside, he even drags it and takes it away. WHAT!
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah
TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah holds many illogical scenes. Since the beginning of the show, fans have been left flabbergasted over far from reality scenes shown in the show. From Goli being tutored in the same class where Mr Bhide teaches high ler grade students to a scientist talking to aliens through devices, TMKOC has a long list of such scenes that are illogical. Even Jethalal crushing over Babita ji for years and nobody noticing it ever has made fans say how silly.
