There are so many people who dream of making it big in Bollywood. Out of millions, only handful get a chance to turn their dream into reality. But, sometimes, even after having looks, connection, attitude, there are many who just couldn’t cope up with the expectations and go in the hibernation after making their grand debut. As they say it is tough to get a break in Bollywood, it’s even tougher to maintain success.
Here are some Bollywood actors who got their big break but eventually got lost.
1. Uday Chopra
Even Uday Chopra, son of Yash Chopra, couldn’t make it big in Bollywood as an actor. Though it was quite easy for him to get a launchpad, his real struggle started post-Mohabattein. He did many movies – Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, Dhoom series, Neal ‘n’ Nikki, but failed to hold the audience’s attention.
2. Fardeen Khan
Son of superstar Feroz Khan, Fardeen Khan made his debut in 1998 with the Bollywood movie Prem Aggan. With endless flaws, the movie proved disaster at the box office. Fardeen managed to do a lot of movies such as Jungle, Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, Om Jai Jagadish, No Entry, Heyy Babyy, and All the Best: Fun Begins. Despite good looks, he failed to win the audience with his acting skills. And, that’s the reason why Dulha Mil Gaya failed badly at the box office.
3. Ayesha Takia
After making debut in music videos, Ayesha Takia made her Bollywood debut with Tarzan: The Wonder Car. After winning Filmfare best debut award, she did movies like Socha Na Tha, Salaam- E- Ishq, Wanted and Dor. Though she received a Screen Award for Best Actress Critics for the film Dor, she failed to leave any mark on Bollywood.
4. Zayed Khan
Frankly no one knows where Zayed Khan, son of Sanjay Khan, disappeared. After making his debut in movie Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne, the star-kid did multiple movies – Main Hoon Na, Dus, Fight Club – Members Only, Yuvvraaj. But, except Main Hoon Na, he has no hit to his credit. He was last seen in 2015 in Sharafat.
5. Sooraj Pancholi
Son of Aditya Pancholi, Sooraj Pancholi debuted in 2015 with the movie named Hero. Though he was launched with the support of Salman Khan, he failed miserably to impress the audience. He got another movie – Satellite Shankar – but once again failed to prove his talent and the movie tanked at the box office.
6. Celina Jaitly
After becoming Miss India in 2001, Celina Jaitly debuted alongside Fardeen Khan in Janasheen in 2003. After her debut, she was seen in many films – No Entry, Apna Sapna Money Money, Golmaal Returns but left the industry after she failed to leave any mark on the industry.
7. Harman Baweja
Son of director Harry Baweja, Harman Baweja, received a lot of attention during his Bollywood debut. His uncanny similarity with Hrithik Roshan created a lot of hype back then. But soon when his debut movie Love Story 2050 turned into a disaster, his career started to crash even before taking off. His other movies like What’s Your Rashee, Victory, etc. also failed, which brought the end to his career.
