There is no denying that death is close at hand and that it is something that every one of us must face. But the worst aspect of facing it is that it is unpredictable. A number of well-known personalities suffered untimely and sudden deaths, leaving their fans and the whole world shocked. More recently, Sushant Singh Rajput’s death shook the country and has been a topic of discussion since then.

Here’s the list of the most famous actors whose untimely deaths seem almost unbelievable.
1. Sushant Singh Rajput – 34 years
Sushant Singh Rajput’s terrible demise shocked the country. The well-known Bollywood actor was discovered dead on June 14, 2020, hanging from the ceiling fan in his bedroom. His post-mortem report stated that the actor had passed away from suffocation. The Narcotics Control Bureau and the Central Bureau of Investigation were also involved in the investigation. Rhea Chakraborty, a well-known Indian actress, is rumored to have been implicated in the drug case that also had something to do with Sushant’s passing. The actor passed away when he was only 34. His box office successes include films like Detective Byomkesh Bahkshay!, M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, Kedarnath, and Kai Po Che. The last time we saw Sushant was in the film Dil Bechara, released in 2020 after his death.
2. Guru Dutt – 39 years
Guru Dutt excelled in all areas. He was a well-known playwright, choreographer, director, and performer from India. He was one of the most respected performers in Hindi cinema at the time. He had roles in vintage 1950s films including Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam, Chaudhvin Ka Chand, Kaagaz Ke Phool, and Pyaasa. According to reports, Guru Dutt passed away in 1964 at the age of 39 from an overdose of sleeping medicines he had unintentionally mixed with alcohol.
3. Madhubala – 36 years
Mumtaz Jehan Dehlavi, well known in Bollywood as “Madhubala,” was a talented actress. At age 9, she began acting, and there was no turning back after that. The majority of Madhubala’s movies were blockbusters of the time. Howrah Bridge, Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi, Barsaat Ki Rani, and Mughal-e-Azam were some of her popular films. In the latter, she played the part of “Anarkali.” Her excellent acting turned the movie into a hit that is still well-liked by the general public. On February 23, 1969, Madhubala passed away tragically at the age of 36. Her severe disease, which affected her heart and lungs, is said to be what caused her untimely death.
4. KK – 53 years
Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, was a well-known playback singer from India. He performed songs in a variety of languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, and Gujarati. KK started his career by singing jingles for commercials and debuted in a movie playback with A.R. Rahman’s music. His first album, Pal, was made available in 1999. The Tamil songs “Apadi Podu,” “Tadap Tadap Ke Is Dil Se” from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999), “Dola Re Dola” from Devdas (2002), “Kya Mujhe Pyaar Hai” from Woh Lamhe… (2006), “Aankhon Mein Teri” from Om Shanti Om (2007), and others were some of his most well-known songs. On May 31, 2022, as a part of the Gurudas College festival, KK performed live in the Nazrul Mancha auditorium in south Kolkata. Soon after the performance, he suffered a heart attack and could not be revived even after multiple attempts.
5. Raju Srivastav – 58 years
On September 21, 2022, comedian, actor, and politician Satya Prakash Srivastav passed away. He was also known by the stage names Raju Srivastav and Gajodhar. In order to work in the Hindi film industry, he relocated to Mumbai in the 1980s. He acted in a number of Hindi films, including Baazigar, Bombay to Goa, Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya, and many others. In the first “Great Indian Laughter Challenge” he took part in, he came in second. He was referred to as “The King of Comedy” on its spinoff program, “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge: Champions.” He frequently did live stand-up comedy and was loved by millions of people.
6. Divya Bharti – 19 years
The stunningly attractive and well-known actress passed away inexplicably in her teens. Divya had collapsed from her fifth-floor Mumbai apartment balcony when she was just 19 years old. Internal hemorrhage and severe head damage caused due to her accident were the official causes of death. People were left with many questions as a result of her unfortunate and untimely death. She began her career acting in Telugu movies, and shortly after, in 1992, she made her Bollywood debut in the film Vishwatma. She was cast in the popular movie Shola Aur Shabnam that same year, catapulting Divya’s career to new heights.
7. Kuldeep Randhawa – 30 years
Kuldeep Randhawa, an actress, and model from India were well-known for her outspoken roles in television programs. Hip Hip Hurray served as the platform for her professional debut. She also appeared on shows geared for young people, such as C.A.T.S., Special Squad, and Kohinoor. She committed suicide by hanging herself on February 8, 2006. She had mentioned that the stress of her life had become too much for her to bear, which is why she was taking this action.
8. Meena Kumari – 39 years
The superstar actress from the 1960s passed away at the age of 39. Cirrhosis of the liver caused her death in 1972. Meena Kumari had a severe alcohol addiction that had caused serious liver damage. She had become an alcoholic due to her personal issues. “The Tragedy Queen of Hindi Cinema” is how most people refer to her. She appeared in 92 movies throughout her career, many of which were box-office hits. Her acting credits include Mere Apne, Pakeezah, Dil Apna Aur Preet Parai, Dil Ek Mandir, and Kaajal.
9. Bappi Lahiri – 69 years
The stage name “Bappi Da” was given to Bappi Aparesh Lahiri, an Indian singer, composer, and record producer. Along with performing some of his own songs, he helped synthesize disco music and make it more common in the Indian music scene. In the 1980s and 1990s, he became well-known for his cinematic soundtracks. In Bengali, Telugu, and Kannada films, he also had significant box-office successes. Long into the twenty-first century, his songs continued to be widely heard. At the age of 69, Bappi Lahiri passed away in Mumbai on February 15, 2022, from obstructive sleep apnea.
10. Jiah Khan – 25 years
As we all know Jiah Khan died due to suicide at the young age of 25. The investigation involved an alleged suicide letter and her then-boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi. The actor’s untimely death shook the whole nation.
