Manoj Bajpayee At No. 1 - Actors POV About OTT
Manoj Bajpayee was asked about the reduction in theatre attendance and whether it's true that only spectacle films will be successful in the future on a big screen during an interview with Janice Sequeira.
“They have experienced OTT so deeply during the lockdown they will not go and watch any film and every film in the theatre. Viewing in theatre has to guarantee some experience beyond storytelling, and that is why people are giving this theory about spectacle films…”
Asked if producers are worried, Manoj Bajpayee said, “They are, they are worried, because power is in the hands of one medium, and that is OTT. And absolute power should not lie with one person. I strongly believe that moviegoing should increase, and movie culture should come back so that there are many stakeholders. When there are many players, the atmosphere will be much more democratic.”
Pankaj Tripathi At No. 2 - Actor’s Stand On Censorship
Pankaj Tripathi belongs to a select group of actors who have achieved renown via their effortless performances.
“I think the audience is an enlightened lot. They will not pay for any nonsense content. On OTT, you have to create an account and become a member,” said Tripathi during an interview with Outlook
“I agree that many people create anything for the sake of sensationalism. But as a responsible actor, I censor myself. I see why I am doing a particular scene, or how important it is in the story.”
