Russo Brothers finally announced the release date of their upcoming highly-anticipated web series, Citadel. The web series has now been named Citadel: Honey Bunny. Citadel will star Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Varun Dhawan, Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Singh Parihar, Kashvi Majmundar, Saquib Saleem, and Sikandar Kher in pivotal parts.
Prime Video shared the heartfelt news via its official Instagram handle and wrote, “Prime Video has confirmed the Indian series within the Citadel universe will be called Citadel: Honey Bunny. Citadel: Honey Bunny has a riveting narrative that fuses the pulse-pounding elements of a gritty spy action thriller with the heartwarming allure of a love story, all set against the vibrant tapestry of the 90s. Honey Bunny is the Indian series within the Citadel universe.”
Speaking about the upcoming web series, Samantha Ruth rabhu said, “I never would have imagined that I would do action. But today, for me, being at this event is already such a victory for me, because at the last moment I didn’t really think I could do it. I didn’t think I would be a part of citadel. I’m extremely grateful to Raj, DK, Sita and Amazon for really coming to my rescue. I just had to prep physically. I am just so incredibly proud already that this is the way it is, this is the way it looks. I can’t believe – this is how it looks.”
Earlier, Samantha took to her Instagram handle and wrote, “Truly humbled to be amongst some of the world's best at the Global Premiere of Citadel in London. The camaraderie, the creativity, the talent, the love, the shared vision, the dream of the people in that room was so inspiring and invigorating that I feel truly lucky and blessed to be part of this team and the Citadel Universe.”
