On Wednesday, a grand event in Mumbai unveiled the release date for Heeramandi. The director himself, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, was there alongside the show's stars.
Mark your calendars! Heeramandi premieres on Netflix on May 1st, 2024. The release date was announced using a spectacular drone light show, leaving everyone in awe.
The event was graced by actresses Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Sharmin Segal. However, fans were disappointed by the absence of Aditi Rao Hydari.
In a recent interview, Bhansali spoke about his venture into OTT. He explained that while he's known for creating grand films, Heeramandi goes even bigger. "This is my biggest project yet," he said. "It doesn't feel any different from directing a movie. You'll feel like you're watching a film on screen."
He continued, "There's no holding back or changing things for OTT. I created 8 episodes, and it's quite demanding. I'm constantly working on the script. It involves more time watching films than actually making them, but everyone's having a blast. This one's truly special. The idea came from my dear friend Moin Baig 14 years ago, and it's finally coming to life. My films come from the heart, not just my head. Heeramandi holds a very special place in that regard."
Bhansali's fans can also look forward to his upcoming epic saga, Love & War, which reunites him with power couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, alongside Vicky Kaushal.
